Cheesecake Factory: $1.50/slice cheesecake--July 30!

Photos_21_1

I usually don't post restaurant deals over a week in advance, but this one is just too sweet not to at least mention...

On July 30, 2008, in celebration of National Cheesecake Day and it's 30th anniversary, The Cheesecake Factory restaurants will offer every delicious slice of their more than 30 varieties of cheesecake for only $1.50 per slice! Limit one per person. (More details here.)

Mark your calendars. We are so going to be there!

Thanks for sharing! I think my family may have to plan an outing to one of the nearby Cheesecake Factory restaurants to take advantage of this deal. But I bet they'll be slammed!

Bummer! I was getting really excited until I looked at the calendar and saw that the 30th is a Wednesdsay. We have church! Oh, well! :)

Hubby & I have been dying to try their Cheesecake...this may be the perfect opportunity to do so!!! Thanks for the heads up ;-)

Hi, I was going to say that the other day I was at C/Factory and saw that some kids were ordering the kids meal which is not on the menu. For 8.50 the kid gets FOUR small (not tiny) burgers on one plate and fries. It was totally enough for at least 3 kids maybe even 4 small kids especially with the bread that they give free. I am not sure if that includes a drink or not, but you could feed several kids for 8.50 and then 1.50 per cheesecake. And 2 adults could share a plate easily the portions are huge!

So, I am a mother of two beautiful girls and I just so happen to work at The Cheesecake Factory. I work evenings so that I can be a stay at home mom with my girls. My only request would be that as you are going out for your incredibly priced cheesecake PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be couteous and respectful to your servers. I beg of you to show yourselves to be godly men and women who know how to treat those in the restaurant industry in a way that Christ himself would treat them. This includes tipping. As a christian woman who works in this industry I am extremely discouraged by "christian" men and women when they come out to eat and I am then treated in an un-Christian way. Make this a night to demonstrate that CHristians can exhibit godly character in real life situations.

Money Saving Mom here: As a former waitress myself, I'm definitely big into tipping--especially when it is deserved. :) If someone gives us good service, I will never--under any circumstance--scrimp on a tip. I know how hard the wait staff works since I was once one of them!

I just told my husband we are so there!

I'm not Christian but I always tip well.

I LOVE CHEESECAKE!!!! I wish we had one nearby! I would SO be there!

Yippee! We are DEFINITELY going to be there! We LOVE the Cheesecake Factory! Thanks, Crystal!

Does anyone know if you have to eat it there, or can you order it from the counter to-go?

I was just wondering, if this was the same deal I sent to you?

:-)

Based on the plea of the working Mom at night above, here's a story that should say it all....

A Sweet Lesson in Humanity. Years ago, a 10-year old boy approached the counter of a soda shop and climbed on to a stool. “What does an ice cream sundae cost?” he asked the waitress. “Fifty-cents,” she answered. The youngster reached deep in his pockets and pulled out an assortment of change, counting it carefully as the waitress grew impatient. She had “bigger” customers to wait on. “Well, how much would just plain ice cream be?” the boy asked. The waitress responded with noticeable irritation in her voice, “Thirty-five cents.” Again, the boy slowly counted his money. “May I have some plain ice cream in a dish then, please?” He gave the waitress the correct amount, and she brought him the ice cream. Later, the waitress returned to clear the boy’s dish and when she picked it up, she felt a lump in her throat. There on the counter the boy had left two nickels and five pennies. She realized that he had had enough money for the sundae, but sacrificed it so that he could leave her a tip. The Moral: Before passing judgment, first treat others with courtesy, dignity and respect. Adapted from A Lifetime of Success

Oh, I see on the website that it's just for dine-in customers. I think I would feel too cheap to take the family up there for Cheesecake and waters!

I would enjoy everyone not to be quick to judge others. We each will be held accountable for our actions and The Lord provides more than what we can imagine. Encourage your waitress/waiter or your customers and never look down on them!
