I bought the CVS cleansing towelettes on Wednesday and received $2.99 ecb's each.
However, when I bought more on Thursday, I only received $1.00 ecb for the same product, so I'm thinking CVS may have adjusted this deal...
Thanks for your your hard work Crystal!
Posted by: Sarah | July 05, 2008 at 07:15 PM
I bought the CVS brand cleansing towelettes for $2.99 and they gave only $1 ECB and not $2.99 ECB. Still free if you use a $2/1 CVS skin care coupon, but no overage.

Money Saving Mom here: Oops, I thought I had corrected that and I guess I copied and pasted in from the wrong post! Thanks for catching my mistake. I've updated it now.

On Thursday Wal-mart had the powerade on sale for .60 each. I haven't been there since then but will check to see if they still are to let everyone know. It will be a little bit better deal than CVS.
Posted by: julie | July 05, 2008 at 08:06 PM
I'm in MD and we got none of the Sure coupons in the past paper :( There's a $1 printable at http://www.suredeodorant.com/
Some areas also got buy 1 get 1 free coupons for Sure deodorant (not MIR) - I just ordered some on ebay. Could be even sweeter deal if combined with MIR.
Posted by: Zoya | July 05, 2008 at 08:13 PM
Just an FYI - I'm in Los Angeles, and we got a $1 off Dawn Direct Foam or Simple Pleasures. No "any" - not even a 25-cent off any, which we do usually get. Bummer!
Posted by: Chief Family Officer | July 05, 2008 at 08:48 PM
How is it that you can know what is in the ad before it comes out? And, also the coupons--how do you know what coupons will be in Sunday's paper?
Posted by: Kelli | July 05, 2008 at 10:11 PM
I have a general coupon question, if I have two BOGO coupons and two products can I get them both free at CVS? I tried this yesterday and the cashier laughed at me. Does anyone know what the rule is?
Posted by: WVCountryRoads | July 06, 2008 at 05:50 AM
Unfortunately, the Olay coupon (at least in the GA market) is $3 off any "Olay Definity Moisturizer". Also I think your math was off - $5.99x4=23.96 - $3 x 4 (12) = $11.96. Still not a bad deal after the $10 ECBs back but not free. :)
Posted by: Marla | July 06, 2008 at 07:28 AM
It seems like the math on your Olay deal is off. Just thught Id give you a heads up!
Posted by: Amy | July 06, 2008 at 08:30 AM
Also, I do know how to spell....lol.
Posted by: Amy | July 06, 2008 at 08:31 AM
I have a question if anyone knows. For the Olay if my total is 19.96 before tax will the ecbs still print out or does it have to be over 20?
Posted by: Ronell | July 06, 2008 at 09:09 AM
Hi! I can't figure out how you came up with $8 OOP for the Olay deal: I get $11.96 (4 * 5.99) - (4*3) Did I miss something? I don't think it's a money maker but will cost you 1.96--still a great deal though.
Posted by: Jami | July 06, 2008 at 10:11 AM
I thought the pampers deal was decent... not great but okay if you have coupons. $8.99 for Jumbo packs usually 11.99 plus a $1.00 coupon makes them $7.99 for what I believe is the best diaper on the market, lol.
Posted by: Jen | July 06, 2008 at 10:11 AM
Hi :)
I just wanted to let you know that (at least in Detroit), we're not getting the $3/1 Olay Regenerist coupons in the 7/6 P&G insert...I did get a $3/1 Olay Definity coupon though, and the $1/1 Olay cleanser or moisturizer. I think there was a coupon $3/1 Regenerist last month sometime...thanks for all the useful info though!!
Posted by: Sheena | July 06, 2008 at 10:30 AM
how do you use 4 $3/1 coupons from the P&G insert? Do you have to get a bunch of newspaper coupons or will the cashier use the same one 4 times? my coupon says limit one coupon per purchase.
Posted by: jane | July 06, 2008 at 10:58 AM
Yeah, in the Raleigh area we only got the $1 of the foam dawn...also, after I printed the one coupon from Honey Bunches of oats, it said that I was unable to print more!
Posted by: Jess | July 06, 2008 at 11:14 AM
Your math is off for the Olay Regenerist deal.
4 Olay Regenerist = $23.96
-$12 (4 x $3/1 mfg)
Total = $11.96 OOP + tax
$10 ECB's recieved
Posted by: Ladyflower | July 06, 2008 at 11:31 AM
Also, the Travel size Aleve 8ct. is free with CVS card.
Posted by: Julie C | July 06, 2008 at 11:44 AM
In my area, we got a $3/DEFINITY moisturizer, not regenerist. Unfortunately, the definity is $24.99 in my area, so I couldn't do the deal. Maybe some areas got a $3/any.
Posted by: Tara | July 06, 2008 at 11:53 AM
At my local CVS, the Honey Bunches of Oats are priced at $4.29 for the "Buy one get one free" deal. My coupon for a free box (from the mail-in deal) says it's good for up to $3.79. So this isn't quite as good a deal in my area. since the "free box" coupon wouldn't cover an entire box.
Posted by: Erin | July 06, 2008 at 12:01 PM
Looks like the Playskool diapers are on sale this week too... w/the coupon I told you about a few days ago, I'm sure someone could cook up a nice deal.

The math on the Olay scenario doesn't add up.
4 x 5.99 = 23.96 Four Moisturizers
4 x 3.00 = 12.00 Less Four Coupons
Spend $11.96, get $10.00 ECB.
Not a moneymaker unless you do have another CRT.
Posted by: Roxanne | July 06, 2008 at 01:17 PM
Just a few things you have probably been made aware of already:
-The Febreeze deal would make each product about 75 cents a piece, instead of 50. (Just a math error)
-The $3 Olay coupon from today's paper that you mention in your Olay deal is for "Olay Definity Moisturizer" only (at least in my P&G), so it couldn't be used for the facial cleaners, and possibly doesn't apply to the Olay deal anyway. (I don't see it specified in the CVS flyer.)
-The Dawn deal is actually a money-maker: Buy 2 at 2/$2, use two $1 off coupons, spend $0 and get 1 ECB!
Thanks for doing all this for us...I check your site DAILY (if not multiple times a day)!
Posted by: Katy | July 06, 2008 at 01:47 PM
For the Febreeze deal, you can just do 4 Air Affects and it will be free.
Posted by: Amy | July 06, 2008 at 01:47 PM
How do you get the $4 off $20 coupon? I have tried going to the CVS link, click on "update my Extra Care account" and put in an email address. No coupon comes up. And I don't receive any emails with a coupon either. How do you guys get this coupon when you update your email address?
Posted by: Amy | July 06, 2008 at 02:11 PM
I used that $1 off Dawn Direct/Simple coupon with no problem today at CVS. It scanned just fine.
Also--I couldn't find any of the Olay products for $5.99, let alone four of them! I didn't see anything that said Regenerist lotion that was under $8.99. Do you know what it looks like?
Posted by: Gina | July 06, 2008 at 04:22 PM
I can't find those $3 Regenerist coupons. The $3 coupon I have is for the Definity moisturizer. :(
Posted by: Maricar | July 06, 2008 at 04:24 PM
The Dawn coupon I have for $1 is for Direct Foam or Simple Pleasures only. Is this the coupon you used? Were the Direct Foam and Simple Pleasures liquids on sale just like the regular Dawn liquids (2/$1 after EB)?
Thanks!
Posted by: Blaire | July 06, 2008 at 04:35 PM
Buy 4 Olay Regenerist Facial Moisturizers or Cleansers at $5.99 each
Use 4 $3/1 coupons from the 07/06 P&G insert
I went to CVS and the Regenerist Facial Moisturizer is much more then 5.99. they have other items at 5.99 but the coupon does not apply to them, just regenerist products. I actually used (4)2.00 off Olay ribbons body wash and they are 5.99. I coupled them with a 4 off 20.00 any anti age fighting facial products and it worked.
My total OOP was 9.36 and I got 10.00 Olay, 1.00 bottle soda, 1.00 facial wipes, 1.00 1.00 for Dawn dish detergent.
So not so bad!
Posted by: Sue | July 06, 2008 at 04:57 PM
Where are the regular Honey Bunches of Oats coupons? First, I was seeing "deals" with links that only led to expired HBOO + Chocolate Clusters coupons which didn't match the variety of Honey Bunches of Oats that was actually on sale (regular HBOO). Now I'm seeing "HBOO Just Clusters" coupons at the link provided. Again, that's not what is on sale. Am I missing a link??
Posted by: Karen | July 06, 2008 at 05:16 PM
Newbie here and I have a question.... I didn't get all the awesome Olay coupons (I got different ones). If have enough coupons to get about $5 off. I also have the $4/$20 for updating my CVS card. Does this mean that I can use both and get $9 off and $10 ECB?
Posted by: Louise | July 06, 2008 at 05:32 PM
on the febreeze deal--I have two .50 cent coupons from a p&g mailer you posted about a few months ago, so i'm hoping they will stack them with the BOGO.
Posted by: Millicent | July 06, 2008 at 06:41 PM
Zoya, I am in AL and also got the Dawn coupon for either Simple Pleasures or Direct Foam. I was also unable to use the $3/1 Olay coupons on the deal because my P&G insert only had that coupon for Definity (very $$) moisturizer.
I wish these kinds of great coupons weren't regional. I did still make out pretty well though!
Posted by: Lucy | July 06, 2008 at 07:57 PM
I just wanted to say that I truly appreciate all your work that you do in laying stuff out here, esp. the CVS deals. I am a web/blogging relative newbie, and you're a bit of a hero to me :) Thanks!

Sorry for the incorrect math! Can you tell I did this with children in the room, not at Starbucks like I usually do? ;)
I think I've corrected everything now, but let me know if you find any more mistakes.
The $3/1 Regenerist coupons were in a recent insert--not sure which ones though. The moisturizer is advertised as $5.99 so I'm hoping I can find some since I have coupons!
Posted by: Money Saving Mom | July 06, 2008 at 08:13 PM
The febreze b1g1 coupon can't be used for the febreze deal. Bummer! The coupon in the P&G brand saver is for the 1.2 leter and the ad says 27oz.
Posted by: Michelle | July 06, 2008 at 08:32 PM
Quick tip - if you're like me and already used your maximum choc. Honey Bunches coupons, if you got your Post Honey Bunches of Oats *free* coupon (from the "mail in 5 coupons, they'll send you a Q for a free Honey Bunches of Oats box") in the mail this week (I did), you could still get two boxes of any kind of Honey Bunches of Oats for free!

Newbie taking baby steps on savings and am even getting hubby excited about these deals. Quick general question not related to this week deals but thought someone would know. Most coupons say "excluding trial size". I have noticed some folks use coupons on "Travel" size (the ones in the bins) to get them free using a $1/1, but I thought those were trial sizes. Please advise on what technically qualifies. Thanks
Posted by: Lora | July 06, 2008 at 09:16 PM
Anyone know how combining the Cover Girl in-store BOGO deal (lash blast, lip color, etc.) with the BOGO (buy lash blast, get eye color) coupon in the paper would work out? For example, could I buy the lash blast and get a lip color and a eye color free? Let me know if anyone goes for this!
Posted by: PurpleHeather | July 06, 2008 at 11:06 PM
About the Honey Bunches of Oats Q's... I was able to print off 2, but I don't know why. The screen told me that I was only able to print 1 but after a minute, the 2nd popped out of my print!
Posted by: Bonnie | July 07, 2008 at 06:01 AM
California prices:
Yesterday, I bought a Daily Regenerist Cleanser (5 oz.) for $5.49. I had a $3 coupon that worked for that.
Also, the Olay Botanical Body wash works well for this deal at $5.99 with a $2 off coupon.
Sure Deoderant is a money maker at $2.69 each (California) with the Buy One Get One Free coupon.

I stumbled across this site when I was searching on how to cut my grocery bill. I am headed out today to sign up for a CVS card and with coupons in hand, I am going to see how I can do with this CVS "game". I hope that I don't get too confused:) Thanks for the info for us newbies.
Posted by: Janice | July 07, 2008 at 08:21 AM
Hi ladies,
Do any of you know if CVS is accepting the $2/1 CVS skincare coupon for the CVS bandages? If so, that would make the B1G1 for $1.99 a free deal.
Posted by: Faith | July 07, 2008 at 08:37 AM
The olay regenerist coupons were in a previous insert. (6/22 I think) For the olay deal I got:
2 Regenerist wipes @ 5.99 each =$11.98 (they only had 2 :( )
1 body ribbons @ $5.99
1 gillette body wash @ 3.99
Total before coupons = 21.96
Used -$1 off gillette
-$2 off body ribbons
(2)-$3 off regenerist
$4/$20
Total after coupons = $8.96 for $10 ecb's
yippee! lol
Posted by: Brook | July 07, 2008 at 09:22 AM
Ok, back from CVS and did the Olay deal. The only two Regenerist products at $5.99 were some wet wipes detoxifying things and the cleanser. I WISH it was the lotion; I need that! The $3 off Regenerist coupon was in the 6/22 Sunday paper. It was not a P&G insert.
This past P&G insert (on 6/6) had a $3 off Definity, but that's not as helpful.
I posted my second run for Olay and Pampers.
Posted by: Gina | July 07, 2008 at 09:27 AM
Hey wanted to let you know that on the front page of the CVS ad this week, it says free 24 ct. case of water with $20 p&g purchase, so if you do the olay deal, you get the water free too!
Posted by: hotmomma | July 07, 2008 at 09:28 AM
What does it mean exactly to "stack coupons"? Can I use a manufacturer's coupon along with store coupons even if the coupon says, Limit One Coupon?
When can you use more than one coupon for an item?
Thanks!!
Posted by: Christy | July 07, 2008 at 10:01 AM
Hi Susanna! I saw your question regarding trial sizes. I copied 2 of the gold bond coupons that were in a post last week and they did not limit the size. Most of the time they do, but I have been going through and checking coupons and if they do not have a size limitation I put them aside to check the travel size bins. I bought 2 lotions that were $.97 and used two $1 coupons. They adjusted the coupon amount, but they were still free. I am very new too, but this is actually kind of fun!
Posted by: jacci | July 07, 2008 at 10:09 AM
Meijer(Ohio) has the Jumbo size Pampers and Huggies on sale for 7.99 plus with $1/1 coupons would be 6.99 each. Or Rite Aid has the 2.00 rebate on Pampers($9.99 this week) and with the $1/1 P&G coupon would come to 6.99 each.
Rite Aid also has a 5.00 rebate on the Venus Razor for July. They are on sale for 7.99 this week and with the $2/1 P&G coupon would make it $.99.
