For the Revlon deal it actually says "Hair Accessories" so revlon tweezers and tools will not work.
Posted by: Michelle | July 01, 2008 at 01:45 PM
The deal is hair accessories only...this deal didn't work when buying the nail clippers or tweezers
Posted by: Erin | July 01, 2008 at 01:46 PM
You can use the B1g1 sure coupon that came out in sunday's paper and you get both free after ECB!
Posted by: Michelle | July 01, 2008 at 01:48 PM
I can't get the CVS coupon to print and I've tried several times. It keeps cutting off the barcode. Any help?
Posted by: NewHere | July 01, 2008 at 01:52 PM
There is also a printable $1 coupon for the Sure deodorant (cant remember where it was at the moment). And in this weeks insert there is a B1G1 free with mail in rebate. So, you can buy two, use two $1 coupons and then send in the rebate to get up to $2.99 back!
I did the tampon deal today too and only got $2 back for buying 2. I called the number on the back of the card and they are giving me another $1 ECB that will print on my next transaction. So, it all worked out and I actually get $.02 more than it was supposed to be.
Posted by: Lindsay | July 01, 2008 at 02:14 PM
You can also use the BOGO Free coupon for the Sure deo. from this last Sunday's paper!

Thanks, everyone, for the updated info. I've edited the post accordingly.

where are the 15-count towelette at $2.99 located at in the store? and does anyone know what they look like?
Posted by: sarah | July 01, 2008 at 02:33 PM
The Bic Soleil deal actually works on any combination of the razors and cartridges. For example, last night I bought 2 4-pks. of the cartridges, and it generated the $5 ECBs. This is a great deal if you already have a razor on hand!

The 'cleansing and makeup remover towelettes' are with the other facial cleansers. It is a light blue package a bit bigger than the size of a deck of cards. What a great deal!
Posted by: Stacey | July 01, 2008 at 03:00 PM
Just a heads up, from my receipt it looks like the towelettes are a limit of 2 not 5.
Posted by: Lindsay | July 01, 2008 at 03:18 PM
Darn it! Wish I would have read the comments before running out to get the Revlon tweezers. Oh, well!

The $2/1 CVS skincare product coupon says one coupon per customer. Does anyone know if the Extra Care Card keeps track, or are we able to use it more than once. I used it last month. I'm curious. : ) LOVE this site, by the way, I'm getting my list together for tomorrow.

The Sure B1G1 coupon in the Sunday paper is "after mail-in rebate". You can't use it at the register, unfortunately. Just thought I'd let you know!

I bought the "free" tampons today and only got the $2 in ECBs. I was in a hurry and didn't notice until I'd left. Can I go back and get anything done about it, or should I just forget about that dollar?
Posted by: amanda | July 01, 2008 at 05:53 PM
Bought two of the makeup cloths and they printed the 2.99 EB, coupled with the $2 off coupon this is a great deal. I bought two and the limit has not yet been reached.

$1 off coupon, plus there was a regular $1 off coupon right next to the BOGO MIR offer in Sunday 6/29 paper.

I went tonight, and got 5 of the makeup cloths, and got 2.99 ecb's for all of them! I did split them up into 5 different transactions so I could use the coupon safely. I went to two different stores. :-)

"I can't get the CVS coupon to print and I've tried several times. It keeps cutting off the barcode. Any help?"
Michelle- I have had the best success "right clicking" on the coupon and saving it to my computer. This way I can resize it and print several of the coupons on that webpage on one sheet.

I cannot get the coupons to print properly either - can someone help?

I bought the tampons yesterday and only got $2 back. Fortunately, I noticed before I left the store and the manager gave me the extra $ in cash. Normally I wouldn't make a big deal about $.98 cents but since I was still there I went ahead and asked about it. I wouldn't have driven back for that though! They were super nice about it!

I bought the CVS make-up removers (15 ct - trial pack that is blue) for $2.99 and only got $1 ECB - still you break even if you use the $2 CVS skincare coupon.
Some people are still reporting more I think. So YMMV

Our local stores don't have the Coppertone face sticks. I'm going to check out a few other stores in the area tomorrow. They were also out of the mascaras. Does CVS do rainchecks?
And yes, I scored the makeup removing towels with the coupon plus 2.99 ECBs. It's a great deal - I use these religiously!
Posted by: Leslie | July 02, 2008 at 12:41 PM
The towelettes were near the Olay and Ponds cleansers. At my CVS these are on the wall. There were larger packs for 5.99, but close by are the 15 count packs. I got 2.99 in ECBs for 1 pack!!!
For those still needing help with the $2 skin care coupon, I am able to print them by going to File, Print Preview, 2nd drop down menu change "Shrink to Fit" to 50%, then print. My CVS does not allow me to use more than 1 of these coupons per transaction. Even the friendly cashier that lets my husband get away with anything when I send him didn't take 2. (Isn't that funny that my husband has a young, CVS cashier that treats him special! :) )

The "20% extra free" size of the Sure Deodorants are good for the ECB deal

The CVS towelettes are $3.49 in my region (Metro Detroit) but are still printing $2.99 ECB. With the $2 coupon--it's still a great moneymaking deal.

Thanks to the commenter Lindsay above- I called the number on the back of my extracare card today, and the operator was very nice and said that this is a known problem. I too, will get an extracare buck of $1 which will print on my next transaction (she said to give it about 48 hours to go through the system.) It was quick and easy to call, I got through to someone very quickly. Just press "0" for an operator once you get to the extracare program and you don't have to wait through the computer prompt.

So if Softsoap is b1g1 this week would we get back 4 ECBs? According to the July book Softsoap is giving 2 ECBs.

CVS Paid ME, today! Details on my blog. I'm feeling GREAT, thanks sooo much!!!
Posted by: Rapunzel's Thrifty Mom | July 02, 2008 at 04:19 PM
NM about the Softsoap I see now that it specifies everything but the spa version. I'm also not brave enough to try it either.
In the Cleveland area the CVS towelettes are also $3.49. And the tampons are printing $1 ECB instead of $1.49. It could just have been a fluke on the tampons, but I'm not going to bother worrying about $0.49 especially when I didn't catch it till I got home. Thought I'd give a heads up though. Also the Spring ECBs are printing out! :)
Thanks again for all the great ideas :)

I did well at CVS tonight. FYI--In our area, the Sure coupon was a BOGO on a purchase, not a rebate. Here's my transaction:
2 coppertone face sticks 9.98
2 Kashi cereals 5.00
2 Sure deoderant 5.58
Stridex 4.99
CVS make up remover 2.99
Gold Emblem candy .99
SOBE beverage 1.49
Stridex coupon -1.00
2 Kashi coupons -2.00
CVS coupon -2.00
BOGO coupon for Sure -2.79
ECB's used -19.49
OOP (inc. tax) 3.24
PLUS ECBs earned 17.49

I am so excited that they are building our first CVS! I can't wait until it is done.
Posted by: NerdMom | July 02, 2008 at 10:05 PM
Don't forget about the Walgreen's Easy Saver catalog - there's a $1.50 coupon for sure deodorant in it. Use 6 of these along w/the mfr coupons and rebate and get paid over $10 after rebate and extra bucks!
Posted by: mike | July 02, 2008 at 10:56 PM
I got $2.99 back for the cloths, but was only allowed 1 $2.00 coupon per transaction.
Thanks for the heads up everyone!

I just got a $4 off a $20 purchase in my email that is good for July 4th only. I was about to head to CVS when I saw it.
So check your emails!

Did the cloths yesterday (once), got back 2.99. Did it today, only got back 1.00...
Maybe they've changed this overnight?
Posted by: Robin | July 03, 2008 at 08:53 AM
I just got a $4/20 in my email, too! (Good only on July 4th.)
Posted by: Alyssa | July 03, 2008 at 10:27 AM
I went and got my second pack of wipes today and also only got 1ECB and not $2.99 like a couple days ago. Was wondering how does it work if you return these things? Do you have to give back the ECB or does it just not work after an item has been returned?
I am bummed, my store doesnt carry the face sticks either and the other store I checked was out. We actually could have used these!
Posted by: Lindsay | July 03, 2008 at 11:03 AM
I went to CVS last night and got the $2.99 ECB for the towelettes, but went to a different store this morning and only got $1. Looks like they fixed the bug!
Posted by: Audrey | July 03, 2008 at 11:12 AM
As others are reporting, I got the towelettes today and they only gave $1 ECB- bummer!
Posted by: Joanna | July 03, 2008 at 11:43 AM
My CVS also gave only 1 ECB for the facial cloths.
Posted by: FoxFire | July 03, 2008 at 12:32 PM
Ours was giving our 2.99 ECB's the last 2 days but today it was sadly, only a $1.
Posted by: JennT | July 03, 2008 at 12:43 PM
Use the 1/2 Dasani coupons in the beauty handbook to get an extra ECB. It's a great way to squeeze in an extra dollar if you're close to a limit.
