Starbucks: Free Vivanno Blends July 25-26, 2008!
I am so stoked! In one week's time we get $1.50 slices of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory and FREE VIVANNO NOURISHING BLENDS from Starbucks!
[Yes, I know, I don't yell on my blog very often. But this is worthy of some serious excitement!]
If you haven't had a chance to try the Vivanno blends, let me tell you, the Banana Chocolate is amazingly good. And it's good for you, too. (Okay, well, maybe not as healthful as carrot juice, but it's much better for you than many of the drinks they offer. See the nutrition facts here.)
Here's the deal: If you have a registered Starbucks card, you can take that in to any Starbucks store on July 25-26, 2008 and get a free Vivanno blend.
Don't have a Starbucks card yet? Well, it might be worth getting one for. You can get one in any amount and when you register it online, you can get other perks, too.

These drinks are AMAZING! I am absolutely addicted to them (I don't pay for them... don't get me wrong, i'm still frugal).. I'm posting an entry later today on how to make the Chocolate banana one! Check it out :)

Where did you find this deal at? I called 3 Starbucks near me to verify and NO ONE knew what I was talking about, even the managers. :( I'd love to be able to show them where the info came from. Thanks!

Money Saving Mom here: This information was mailed out to registered card holders in the past two days. There were also coupons at Starbucks locations in California.
From the emails I saw directly from Starbucks, it appears it is a nationwide deal. You could call or email the corporate office to verify this, though, and let me know what you find out.

Does this drink have any coffee in it? We are non-coffee drinkers, so I'm just curious. Thanks.

Sweet! I'm due for a free MyPoints Starbucks card, so I think now is just the time to redeem it. Free drink here I come!

Well, I started "selective clipping" at first. I clipped only what I used and needed. After a couple of weeks of 'research' I realized that there were many deals I was missing by not clipping ALL the coupons. Freebies, fillers to get to a $4 of $20 etc. I think if you start "selective clipping: you will regret it, charities can always use any freebies you don't use. Remember, it's hurricane season too!

Nope, no coffee...unless you add a shot of espresso. They're basically trying to compete with Jamba Juice and other smootie stores. They're mango, orange, that sort of thing. They have fiber, juice (Naked juice), ice, etc.

Whoops. Make that SMOOTHIE, not smootie in my last comment. :-)

I sampled the banana chocolate at BlogHer and it was indeed delicious. Didn't taste like it had any coffee in it.

I am a registered card holder (but only because someone gave me a gift card - i don't drink coffee) and I didn't receive anything in the mail. I'm in Maine...so maybe it is just a regional deal?

when i register for a card, which one is the most frugal? I was overwhelmed by the choices! Any suggestion???:-)

Good only at stand alone Starbucks.

I registered both of my cards and no where on the site can i find anything about receiving a free drink. Help?
Posted by: Karen | July 24, 2008 at 11:43 AM
Crystal, thanks for your help.
If anyone is in Ohio and you know this is in our area could you post? I have had a registered card for a few months but didn't get an email. I called more stores today and emailed corp. but didn't hear anything. Maybe it is regional.

Please remind everyone that, despite the fact that we serve Starbucks coffee (and Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake for that matter), these offers are not good at non-corporate locations -- such as Barnes & Noble Cafes. Almost everytime there is one of these promos people have to be turned away because B&N won't be reimbursed for the Qs, and with gas being so much $$ I hate to see people making wasted trips. HTH someone.

I went to Starbucks this morning with my registered card and was told that the coupon was a fake online. So, I paid full price for my drink...very disappointing.

I went to Starbucks this morning with my registered card (in the DFW area) and it did not work. It must be a regional thing...
Posted by: Kristy | July 25, 2008 at 06:19 AM
Stephanie: I can assure you the coupon was not fake. I confirmed it from multiple sources so your Starbucks was mistaken. I'd encourage you to call corporate and explain what happened. My guess is that you'll be glad you did. :)
Sorry for the disappointment. I'd encourage others to call their store ahead of time to make sure they are participating in this promotion.

I just called our local store (Florida) and they are participating.

man.. i have not seen anything for this deal but i do know with a registered card you get a free tall drink if you buy a lb of whole bean coffee. perfect for me since my hubby is addicted to one brand of it :) i get a lb a week and my coffee for me free!! https://www.starbucks.com/cardrewards/

This works in the Detroit area. Although, I have to say that I was a little disappointed in the Chocolate Banana. I liked it at first, but towards the end I thought that it was a little gritty. But then I am not a fan of the protein shakes in general for this reason. But I am not complaining...it was free and it made my 2 hours of kid free errands even better!

to the person who lives in Ohio --- I live in Ohio (Akron area) and called yesterday to see if my local store was participating. The manager didn't know what I was talking about. Today I took my registered card to the same Starbucks and got my free drink! I had no coupon and the guy told me the computer just knows. I beleive I got a grande banana chocolate vivannno. Thanks for the tip!

Just went to the Chicago area (I-90 & Barrington Rd.) Starbucks. The offer is good from 2-4pm with a registered card. Also, from 7/29, they will be free on Tuesdays as long as the promotion lasts!

Just wanted to say it worked in Coastal NC. The store managers had no idea about the deal, but rang it up and swipped my Starbucks card to see. Violoa= $0.00 came up. It was a grande size and fairly good. NO coffee though...so probably won't be a regular at my house!

Thanks so much for the heads up on this. I've had a Starbucks gift card for a couple of weeks now. After reading your post, I registered my card online and today on my lunch break, I got my Vivanno. Much to the cashiers surprise to say the least!

I verified today that this is valid and has been verified directly with Starbucks (800-782-7282). This is a nationwide deal at every Starbucks, free-standing store or not. For this deal to work, you simply purchase a Choc Banana or Orange Mango Vivanno (grande, which is the only size available for this drink). You must give them your registered Starbucks card for this to work and when they swipe your card, the drink rings through for $0.00. You do not need a coupon, copy of email, etc. . . only your registered card. Even though this is valid at EVERY store, some are not even aware of it (per corporate, there have been many complaints and they're trying to inform every store today). If for some reason it doesn't ring through as free, either request that the store call the # on the back of your gift card to confirm or call them directly and they will credit your card back for the purchase price. I did verify this with corporate today due to all of this confusion. If you tried to get the drink (again, must use your card) and it didn't ring through as free, contact that # and they'll refund the price back to your card. My store also told me that, in addition to July 25-26, this offer is also valid each Tuesday for the next 3 weeks all day.

She checked and said yes. So went to pay. First transaction...free and then second transaction I got 2 vivianno's and one frappaccino for the hubby and I got BOTH of the Vivianno's FREE!!!
Woot total cost for Venti Frappuccino and 3 Chocolate Bannana Viviannos = $4.82!!!!!!!
They were delicious and no coffee they were perfect for me and the kids.
See if anyoe else can get the same eal. We are in Jacksonville, Florida. I dont think it is a regional thing.

I am currently on hold with Starbucks in regards to them telling me that my card was not registered when I went to get my Vivanno today.
When I checked it online- yes it is registered. I hope it goes well- I love Starbucks and hate to have any yucky feelings!

Licensed Starbucks stores (privately owned) are not included in this promotion. We went to our local Starbucks (which is inside a hotel) and were turned away. We did call Starbucks Cards to verify, and we were told only free standing stores participate. We did ask whether or not it would be possible to refund the price back onto the card, and the answer was no.

Thankfully we have a well-informed Starbucks. Not only did my husband and I get the free Vivannos (we each have a card), but the barista also gave us two coupons for free Vivannos to use in the future. Expiration for those are Sept. 30, 2008. I would ask around about these coupons.

We got our free Vivanno today. My husband and I both ordered one, and when they swiped our (registered) Starbucks card BOTH of them were free! We were expecting it to be only one per card, but apparently not!
Also,it was posted at the store that on Tuesdays between 2-4 the same deal will apply (free Vivanno with registered card). This may just be a local deal, but definitely worth checking out with your local Starbucks!

:( I went to my Starbucks to get my free drinks and before ordering I asked if they were participating in the promotion. She acted like she and I did not know what I was talking about and said no, so I did not order them. I found out online afterward that it would have rang up free after paying with my registered card. I sent corporate an email (it was nice, not gripey or anything) just to let them know. We'll see what happens. I'm hoping to get it Tuesday if that is true!
