What deals did you see this week? What are you buying this week?

Hey, my cvs lets me do deals on sat night that start on Sunday. I just got back with some almost free diapers too.
On Sale at 2/$12. Used the 3 off 15 and a store scanner coupon 3/10. That made 2 packs for 6. I then realized if you spend 15 on baby products, you get 5 back.
So, I got 2 packs of wipes, some monthly deals, used coupons and ecbs and got 5 ecb's back.

I was in my Walgreens yesterday and they had a big sign up in front of the diapers that no other coupons besides the Easysaver coupon may be used on the diapers. No free diapers for me I guess!

I have the ad in front of me. You read the limits correctly on the school supplies.

Seventh Generation will be 25% off all week @ Walgreens. Most products are $3.99 and there are $1 off printables on the company (seventh generation) website. A pretty good deal on healthy, more earth friendly cleaners, as they do not use petroleum bases.

Very excited about the diaper deal! The $2/1 from the prescription savings booklet says "limit 1." Are you saying use 3 of those...or that it will automatically take $2 off each of the packages of diapers?
I know that much of the small print on coupons is standard fare and does not necessarily mean what is stated or can differ by store policy.
Posted by: jenny | July 19, 2008 at 09:01 PM
I attempted this deal last week, but the Prescription Booklet coupon only took $2 off of ONE package of diapers... not so sweet that way, and they were still $7.99. I ended up just voiding the transaction and was sorely disappointed!
Has anyone else had trouble with the Prescription Booklet coupon? Thanks!

I tried to the the Walgreens diaper deal last week. The prescription savings booklet coupon says Limit 1, so I was only able to get the extra $2 off one of the three packs.

You can also get a free 2pk of Pilot G2 pens after rebate.

My Walgreens has trial size Men's Gillette 2 in 1 Body Wash for .99 cents. If you use the 1.00 off Manufacturer coupon from the Sunday insert a few weeks back it is .01 cent overage.
Posted by: Jen | July 20, 2008 at 08:31 AM
Also, there are packs of 5 Bic Highlighters for .39 cents. If you use the 1.00 off two Bic products manufacturer coupon from this Sundays paper you can get three packs for .17 cents.

Just thought I would mention, the EasySaver Booklets overlap on Friday and Saturday this week. In July's book there is a $5/2 IVC and in August's book there is a $5/2 IVC as week. You can use them both on July 25 & 26, for $2.97 plus a $5 RR!

I didn't get the Catalina coupon for the Dixie plates. Is it a specific size?
Posted by: Jennifer | July 20, 2008 at 01:03 PM
I just stopped at Walgreens to get the Cetephil that is on sale for $6.99 - $1 Q = $5.99 a great price if this is something you use regularly.
I also got 2 Reynolds wrap (20 ft) which are $0.89 each with the Walgreens coupon from the flyer - $1.50/2 Q = 0.14 each
Bic highlighters are 0.35 with the Walgreens coupon from the flyer - $1.00/2 Bic printable coupon making them FREE plus overage!

I am not sure why, but I bought the B1G1 Dixie plates and the coupon did not print out. This was at the Walgreens in West Carrollton, OH.

I bought bought diapers and Dixie plates today. The RR printed out buy I did not get a coupon for the plates. Is this something customer service could help me with?
Posted by: Beth | July 20, 2008 at 04:03 PM
No catalina printed for my dixie plates. Bummer. Anyone else having this problem?
Posted by: Bethany | July 20, 2008 at 05:27 PM
The Dixie plate deal must be regional. I'm in Colorado Springs and tried it today at my Walgreens. The cashier assured me the printer was working, but no coupon printed for me. =(
Just FYI.
Posted by: Krista Goodin | July 20, 2008 at 05:41 PM
The Dixie catalina didn't print. Should I ask a manager? Is there anywhere I can point to show them that it should print (like an ES booklet)?
Posted by: Heather | July 20, 2008 at 06:00 PM
i bought two dixie plates, but did not get a catalina :(
Posted by: Blaire | July 20, 2008 at 06:25 PM
Bic highlighter 5 packs are .39 cents with the walgreens coupon in the ad, and there is a printable coupon for 1.00 off 2 bic stationary items. these would be free w/ possible overage. :)

I went to Walgreens today planning to stock up on the Dixie plates. But they didn't print out with a catalina, and the cashier had no idea what I was talking about. She said that the only discount was the BOGO. Do the catalinas only print out in certain areas?
Posted by: Avivah | July 20, 2008 at 07:01 PM
The $3/2 Dixie plate catalina is not printing in Renton, WA.

Just wanted to say that I love your blog! Also wondered if I have the right coupon from Walgreens for diapers. I recieved it in the pharmacy, and I think it's the same one, but it reads at the bottom that it can not be used in conjunction with another promotion or deal. (Can't remember the exact wording) Is this the coupon for diapers everyone is using to get 2$ additional dollars off along with the easy saver coupon? I didn't feel right about doing it, and wondered if I maybe had the wrong coupon? Thanks!
Posted by: Ashley Dunn | July 20, 2008 at 07:48 PM
The Dixie plate thing isn't printing catalinas. Bummer! But I was able to get 9 packages of diapers (bought in three transactions) for under $2, once I deducted the $15 in Register Rewards. I did this deal a couple weeks ago too and have enough diapers stocked up for about 6 months at least!
Posted by: Michele@Philoxenos | July 20, 2008 at 09:35 PM
Didn't get the coupon after buying the Dixie plates. Plan on returning them -- just know that they don't come out for everyone. Also, I wasn't allowed to use the EasySaver Lamisil coupon with the in-ad one. Will try later at another Walgreens.
Lots of other goodies at Walgreens though! I bought 4 Scotch Brite and Ocelo sponges with the in-ad coupon for 2/$3. I combined that with a $1 off 2 Ocelo and two $0.50 off 1 Scotch Brite from recent inserts. End result -- four 3-packs of sponges for $4.

I purchased two packages of the dixie plates, but didn't receive a catalina. I double checked that I had the right ones, so I guess it's not working in Maryland. Bummer.

When my friend and I purchased the Mitchum deodorant, on sale for 1.99 with a .75 (7/20) coupon it printed off a register coupon for $2 of another Mitchum deodarent, making our second on free :)
Posted by: Amanda | July 21, 2008 at 03:18 AM
I tried the Dixie plate deal Sunday in Dayton, OH, and no Catalina printed for me. :(

On the diaper deal can you roll this deal using the RR to buy more diapers? I didn't know if I used the RR if it would still print another one. Thanks for all the great info on sales.
Posted by: Kathi | July 21, 2008 at 08:33 AM
I didn't get the free diapers. My cashier wouldn't take both Walgreens coupons. Is that right? Bummer... but still pretty cheap diapers.

Well I just wrote an caomplaint email to customer Service at Walgreen. I can't even remember the last time I went to Walgreen and the actually had the items in their ad. Is it just my Walgreen or is it everywhere?
Posted by: Susan | July 21, 2008 at 04:28 PM
I got several sets of 3 of the diapers last week and was really bummed when I saw that they were on even better sale this week. I took a chance and called my Walgreens and asked if they refunded the difference when something went on sale within a certain number of days after purchase. The manager I spoke with said that they don't normally, but that he would do it for me. I was able to get back $2 on each package I purchased!! WooHoo!!! It never hurts to ask!!! :)
Posted by: Amy | July 21, 2008 at 06:05 PM
Will Walgreen's accept the July IVC for diapers along with the August IVC for diapers on the days the coupons overlap? Has anyone done this sort of thing before? Also, there was tear-pad for $5/2 diapers in my store. Can I use this coupon with the July IVC for diapers? I'm trying to get the hang of this and learn the ins and outs.

Wanted to find out some more information on the Easy Saver Books. A couple pf people mentioned that there is a "cross-over" from month to month where the coupons can be used at the same time???? It is my understanding that even though Walgreen's lets you "stack" man. and Walgreen's coupons, that you wouldn't be able to "stack" two Walgreen's coupons? I am I just not getting it or will they let you use two different months' easy saver coupons if they aren't expired?

Here's a scenario for Sat. July 26:
Buy 4 packs walgreens jumbo diapers @ $5.99 each= $23.96
Use July easy saver $5/2 diapers
Use Aug. easy saver $5/2 dipaers
Since the coupons automatically take off $2.50/pack, if you use both, it should end up taking off $5/pack, right? If I'm understanding this correctly, the total will be $3.96 plus $5 register rewards!
If that really works, that's diapers for only $1 each(plus the extra $5!) Can anyone confirm the coupons to work that way? Thanks!
Posted by: Alyssa | July 25, 2008 at 04:40 PM
I am trying to figure out the July/August EasySaver overlap on diapers as well. How many packs would I need to buy to use both month's coupons? I would love to know if the above-mentioned scenario would work! Thanks!
Posted by: Carly | July 25, 2008 at 06:43 PM
Alyssa,
Yes, your scenario works that way! A better scenario- if you can get your hands on a Pharmacy $50 savings book and the $2 off diapers coupon inside- is the following:
Friday/Saturday:
Buy 5 packs @ $5.99 each= $29.95
July ES Coupon -12.50
August ES Coupon -12.50
Coupon -10.00
Total -$5.25
So buy something that is at least $5.25. You will pay pennies and and get $5 in register rewards. I did this several times today and it worked just fine!
