I tried to do the diaper deal last week, but the scanner would not accept both Walgreens coupons. The one from the pharmacy booklet says "not valid with any other offers" so they wouldn't manually put it through.

The diapers go on sale again later in the month, starting 7/20.

I tried the diaper deal on Thursday and Friday and it worked no problem. But I went back today (just about 15 minutes ago actually) and it did not work anymore! The Easy Saver Coupon scanned okay, but the Prescription Savings Coupon did not.

Do you have any idea why?

I had the same issue, they let me use the $2 off from the Perscription Savings only on one package, not all 3. Bummer. That meant I paid some oop for these.

It's so interesting how one store can generate so many money-saving lists. I post a Walgreens list every Sunday as well, but my list is different. Feel free to check it out too.

I love this site!

I had them run through the pharmacy one first, THEN the Easy Saver one. I could be wrong, but my thought was that the "any other offers" wouldn't register if it thought it was the only offer when that one scanned. I didn't try it any other way, though, so I'm not positive if that mattered.

Also, on trip 2 or 3, (I did 4), one of the stores had newer packaging (I guess. Or older?) in a bluish aqua packaging instead of the red. When I checked out with two reds and a blue, the pharmacy coupon only took off for 2 of them instead of 3. I don't know if it had to do with the different packaging or if they had their computer set to accept only 2 like the coupon says. Not really sure.

I ended up with 12 packages of diapers with about 2 bucks out of pocket after I use my RR, so I'm okay with those $2 I had to pay on the blue package. I have really weird sizes that fit nobody's child I know, but I figure I can save them for shower gifts or exchange them once the right sizes come back in.

Oh, and two of the stores didn't print out RR, one because of a broken machine, the other for an unknown reason. BOTH TIMES, the manager rang up another order of the diaperss, voided it out after the RR started printing, and I got my RRs.
So never let it again be said that they can't do anything when RRs don't pop out on their own. They sure as heck can! Two different stores' managers helped me without blinking an eye.
I don't know how many times I've heard a story of a WAGS employee saying that if it doesn't spit out, there's nothing Walgreen's can do. NOT TRUE. Be syrupy sweet and firm, and get your RR! LOL

SCHOOL SUPPLIES:
If you have kids in school with school supply lists, notebook paper is only .39 cents per pack this week with circular coupon.

(p.s. Staples has pocket folders for a penny, and packs of pencils for a penny also this week)

I found out that the Pharmacy coupon doesn't work with the new diapers packages - you have to get the ones that actually say "Walgreens" across the top NOT the ones that just have a "W". Hope this helps!

I did the diaper deal at WAGs three times last week. I was able to get the pharmacy coupon that I am saving for next few weeks deals when the diapers are regular price. (I chose not to use it last week....and I LOVE free things.)

The Rx q had specific wording that it was only valid on full priced items. Just a heads up on the coming week when they are on sale again! Getting diapers for $1.70 or so ($7.99 value) a pack is still a GREAT deal. :o)

Walgreens did change packaging...and the new would not work. I also had trouble if I didn't use the Rx savings club coupon first? I work in the pharmacy, so after my discount, I was getting 3 boxes for 2.64! I donated 36 packs of diapers to the center of women and children, simply so I could get other things basically half off!

Also the Dial body wash is on sale 2/7, when checking out you get a b1g1 coupon for the dial body wash. Since the body wash is a wag coupon they take off the full 5.99 for the body wash and then the wag cpn. 5.99+5.99-5.99-4.98=1.01 !!

I went to WAGS Friday and the pharmacy one only took $2 off 1 pack, and the cashier had to manually enter it. And I had to get the "purple" bags of diapers. The other coupon worked fine. But it was $9.67 OOP for 3 bags of diapers, and then I got the $5rr.

I went to Walgreens today, and they had all of there summer toys for 75% off. I bought a big 10 x 30 inch pool for $15.00, and then I had $5 in RR, so the pool was $10. I also got side walk chalk and bubbles for $0.25 each. I am so excited.

Walgreens currently has Herbal Essences on sale 3/$10. There is a mfg. coupon for $3/2 in the 7/6/08 insert.
As an extra bonus, when you purchase the specially marked packages, you get a free manicure or pedicure!
A total of $3.67 for shampoo, conditioner and a pedicure is a great deal (especially since I get my cast off soon and I am in MAJOR need of a pedicure!)

I read there are a few who tried giving the Prescription Savings Coupon first then the easy Saver next.

So did that work for the diapers? Did it take off $6.00 and $7.50 for 3 packs of the blue or red diapers?
