You all really know how to turn up for a sale!
Let's just say, I was hoping for a good turn-out to our Summer Blowout Sale yesterday but you all exceeded my wildest imaginations! The orders poured in all day long, many were affiliate sales thanks to you all helping to promote the sale.
Last night, our family stole away for a few hours to get our $1.50 cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory (we only had to wait, um, an hour to be seated and an hour to receive our cheesecake. I don't think it was quite worth that, but we made a fun memory anyway!), and when we arrived home, my email inbox had exploded.
I guess that a couple thousand of you decided to wait until the last minute to order and it ended up crashing our servers with everyone trying to download everything at once!
Thanks to many of you who were patient as the site loaded slow or the downloads timed out. Everything is running much more smoothly today so if you've not gotten in on the deal yet, you'll want to go here right now and do so. The price goes up tomorrow and then it's gone forever, so hurry and get in on this screaming deal while you can!
If you had any trouble yesterday with downloading things or have any trouble today, please just drop me an email (biblicalwomanhood @ sbcglobal.net -- remove spaces) and I'll be glad to help.
And I think by tomorrow night I'm going to be in serious need of a vacation, which is a good thing, since next week we're headed for our yearly trip to the lake. Yay!

Thanks so much for this awesome deal!! I downloaded everything yesterday. From what I have already had a chance to look at, I can definitely say that this is the best $6 I've spent in a WHILE!!!

Hi,
I was one of those whose connection timed out while I was downloading two of the mp3s. Can I try again today without paying for the download again?

Crystal,
I think you said in an earlier post that you were going to visit Arkansas . . . what lake will you be vacationing at? Our family does an annual trek to Lake Norfork, which is beautiful. I hope you have a fabulous and relaxing time - I enjoy and receive so much from your blog!

I started early yesterday and it took awhile to get all the downloads but I got them all downloaded by 4pm. Thank you for your great sale! Can't wait to read them!!!!
As far as cheesecake, we had a fabulous experience!!!! Wanting to beat normal dinner crowds, my husband went into work early today. We got to The Cheesecake Factory at 4:15pm. There were crowds of people waiting to be seated. We wanted to sit in the bar area to take advantage of the food specials during happy hour and it was completely full of families so we went ahead and put our name in for a table.
While waiting in line for a pager, the woman behind us said that she was willing to buy cheesecake to go at the regular price. (The $1.50 special was for dine-in guests only.) They told her it would be a 25 minute wait to get a slice to go!!! We get to the hostess stand and they quote us a 60-80 minute wait.
We take our pager, turn around, and walk through the tables one more time. We get towards the other end of the restaurant and there is a table that was occupied before but now is completely open! Someone had just left! (The bar sections are smoke-free here and lots of families were doing the same thing as us!)
We sit down, husband returns the pager, and order our food specials, remembering what the woman in line told us, and decide to order our cheesecake up front so it will arrive in time for dessert! It worked out perfectly!
We get our waters, our food including super fresh bread, and then our cheesecake. They were out of my favorite kind (fresh strawberry) so I venture into a new flavor. I have tried about 12 kinds in the past but keep coming back to fresh strawberry. I ordered fresh banana cream and it was delicious!
I'm enjoying the moment and my husband is digging into his latest favorite flavor, dulce de leche caramel, and the film crew from one TV station comes running up to film us eating cheesecake! They film us and tell us to pretend they're weren't there. (Easier said than done!) Then they interview my husband and take his name. They were with us
for at least 5 minutes!!
We watched the news tonight and at the very very end, they have a 10 second plug about Cheesecake Day at the location we were at. The crew was there for there for a long time! None of our footage got used but it was fun! They reported that people waited up to 3 hours for a table! (We were there for only an hour and still got home in plenty of time for our hour walk!)
I just looked on the web and we made the web cast of it! We're 5 seconds of the 4 minute report. YAY!
The Lord blessed our night so much...no traffic each way, no wait for a table, food that was delicious and very affordable, a super sweet waitress, and a delicious flavor of cheesecake to add to my favorites!

Just curious how long it should take to DL the files. I have a fast connection and I'm still running almost 30 min per file which normally is timing out at the end :(
