The following is a link to free parent-child early literacy development materials created with U.S. government funding: http://www.walearning.com/Guide.html. I'm not a parent, but I just received an email announcing the availability of these and looking them over quickly the ideas seem to me like things parents would think of on their own. However, some of the printable sheets could be useful for organizing and keeping a record of children's learning.
