CVS: A few more deals this week
Purex is on sale for $2.99 this week and generates a $1 ECB (this is not an advertised deal). Use the $0.50/1 coupon from the 08/10 SmartSource insert and you'll get laundry detergent for $1.50 after the coupon and ECBs! (Thanks, Tami!)
Also, Catherine emailed to tell me:
CVS just marked down all their summer stuff to 90% off. At our store, for example, big gallon jugs of bubbles were 29 cents, kids water shoes were 64 cents, and there were all sorts of fun things like kites and kids garden tools and inflatable kiddie pools and water toys marked down.
The cashier I talked to said there had been coolers and lawn furniture too at 90% off too. I just thought you might like to know in case you use any of that stuff. I got a bunch of things to save for gifts and to use for the kids Christmas and birthday presents. It's not bad filler!
Be sure to check your store's clearance sections, too! Who knows what great deals and steals you might find?

Just thought I would share... I just signed up for the CVS card... if you go to thier website, they have an advisory panel that you can join to take occasional surveys, and they reward you with betweem $10-$25 of ECBs, which they credit directly to your card !!!!

One of the CVS stores I visit frequently actually included the Huggies Little Swimmers and Pampers Splashers in the 90% summer clearance. They rang up as $0.89 a pack!! I haven't found them at the other stores but it's worth checking your store. I stocked up for next summer.

I just wanted to say, that last week I seen the purex deal on another blog, so I went to purchase it with my coupons, ( I got the concentrated kind) anyway I bought 5 at 2.99 and it did not print any extra bucks. I live in Va, so try one before you stock up to be sure. either way 2.50 isnt so bad for laundry detergent.

The discounted summer items would also be good for the shoebox projects for Christmas, especially if they have flip flops.

Constance- can you tell us more about the surveys?
I looked and couldn't find anything.
Thanks!

The Purex is an advertised deal here in the DFW area getting the ECB back. I have the ad here on my desk!

Our CVS has the same summer clearance...they did the swim diapers several weeks ago however. We DID have a hidden ECB on ours...$5 ECB wyb 1 72ct Flavor Ice...which was on clearance for $1.60!

There have been some pretty good deals in the summer clearannce, I jumped up on Sunday morning & picked up some serving plates, cups, etc for an upcoming cookout, for about .08 a piece! If you happen to be lucky enough you might find some bigger stuff in the less traveled CVS's. Last Friday, I lucked into outdoor chairs for $1.99 each & a Kingsford Charcoal grill for $12 - This was when they were at 75% off, I nabbed them, didn't want to risk them still being there when they went to 90%

Last night my CVS had two cans of propane, like for a camp stove or grill, at 79 cents for the pair. I was busy buying tons and tons of stickers off the clearance rack (at 25 cents a pack) but will go back today to see if that propane is still there. We don't have anything that uses those little cans but we know people who do.
I have been looking for those swim diapers! I believe Coupons.com still has Little Swimmers coupons for $1.50 off one, so if you find them on clearance you should get them free.

I saw the Purex deal advertised for next week's sale (in an ad preview on another site). Maybe it is this week in some areas and next week in others?

Constance you are so lucky! I went to CVS online, looked everywhere and couldn't find what you were talking about so I called and asked customer relations. They said it is a random thing and you can't just sign up for it at will. =) I hope you get the chance to make lots of extra-extra care bucks!! I'm so envious here in IL!! =)

For those of you that have the ads, what is the limit on this?
Rochelle

Just got the ad for next week (9/14 - 9/20) for Philly area and the Purex is on the front page. $2.99 with $1 ECB back. The limit is 5. However, there is also a sentence underneath the "limit" sentence that says "During the promotional period of 9/01 - 9/30." Don't know exactly what that means, but wanted to pass it along in case it helped!

I just did this Purex deal in Middle Tennessee. It was not advertised, but it worked. I did it 3 times and it said the limit had still not been reached so I would guess the limit is 5. Does anyone know for sure?

About the CVS Advisory panel -- try http://www.cvsadvisor.com
Now, they haven't sent me any surveys yet, so maybe it doesn't count if you don't sign up through the main site, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

I have been on the CVS advisory panel for over 3 years. I only get a survey about once every 6 months. Usually it earns me $5 ECB the next time I shop at CVS. I noticed they sent all of the surveys about using their pharmacy. Now that my hubbys insurance changed, we can't get our prescriptions there anymore, and I haven't received a survey in over 6 months. I have a feeling I won't receive anymore without using their pharmacy.
