I could be wrong but.. I am pretty sure the $2.00 pantene coupons are for the Expressions line and not the regular line. The 3/$9.99 w/2 ECB excludes the expressions shampoo/conditioner. Let me know if I am wrong!

Thanks for the tips! I love your site!

I'm a CVSing newbie and I'm having so much fun! First of all I'll let you know that the BC deal worked for me. I had a coupon for a free 6 count BC or Goody's that printed out on my CVS receipt a few weeks ago. I used that to get my Goody's free and $1.29 in ECB's. Now I'll tell you about my trip this evening. I bought one Dawn Hand Renewal for .99. (It did not have a sale sticker on the shelf like the regular Dawn's, but it rang up at the sale price.) I bought 3 AMBI soaps for $1.99 each. I bought 1 Colgate Total for $2.99. I had a coupon for $1 off the Dawn. Unfortunately I didn't have a coupon for the Colgate. My total was $9.04. I used $8.79 in ECB's paying .25 OOP. I received $11 in ECB's back! ($9 for the AMBI's and $2 for the Colgate) Thanks for the CVS-101 post.

The Dawn Hand Care dish soap isn't marked on the 99 cent deal this week, but it does indeed ring up 99 cents. You can use the $1 coupon from a recent newspaper insert to get it free! This made a great filler for my order today!

I got two Cover Girl lipsticks regular 9.99. CVS had them B1G1 and I had a B1G1 coupon from Sundays paper making them both free.

Hi. Wanted to share another great deal idea at CVS for the Pantene products. I had several P&G coupons for a free Pantene styling product or treatment with the purchase of any Pantene shampoo and conditioner...I was able to stack these coupons onto the $2 off Pantene coupons I had to make the deal even sweeter. So, not only did a get the 3 Pantene conditioners that I needed for less than $2 - I also received 3 free styling products...and ECB's to boot!

Can someone please tell me what page the colgate Q is on in the August All YOu? I have looked five times and I even made my hubby and teenage son look. Thanks!!!!

I am totally new to this, but I went a step further with the Cover Girl Wetslicks. There is a B1G1 Cover Girl lip product coupon in the 8/31 newspaper insert, so I got two free after ECBs.

I agree with amyd, the $2 Pantene coupons in my local P&G insert (Los Angeles Area) were for Pantene Expressions, which are not part of the 3/$9.99 deal. Our P&G insert seems to be a little different, since we haven't been getting any Cover Girl coupons either :-(
Posted by: Sarah | September 01, 2008 at 07:22 PM
The Wetslicks were $5.99 and recieve $5.99 ECBs back (limit 1). Also the Goody's Powders were $1.29 each and earn $1.29 each back in ECBs (limit 5).

I'm in Georgia, and the Goodys ECB deal did not work here. Also, as far as non-ecb deals, they have nutrition bars (Atkins, Clif, Zone, etc) 10/$10. There was a $1/1 Atkins coupon in the 8/17 SS.
Posted by: Becca | September 01, 2008 at 07:29 PM
The colgate deal must be more than LIMIT 1 because yesterday I bought two and got $4 ECBS.

It's interesting that the PG Inserts seem to be different depending on where you live. In my area, SE PA, there were NO Cover Girl coupons! There were full page ads in the insert, with NO coupons! Bummer!
As one reader noted, the $2 Pantene coupon is for Expressions only (at least in mine) and the CVS ad EXCLUDES expressions. So of course I didn't try to use it. In fact, at my CVS, the Expressions clearly were not on sale. I did use two $1 off on a Pantene product (I think from last month's insert) and one coupon for a free styling product when you buy a shampoo and a conditioner, so I paid $4.66 for three products with a $2.00 ECB. Works for me!

Just wanted to let you know about a great deal at CVS. They had their summer items on clearance for 75% off. They had the HUGE freezer pops (reg. price $14.99) for 75% off. I got a box for $3.75 AND I got $5.00 ECB back! I went back for another one. I might go back tomorrow for a 3rd.
Also, the Frank's hot sauce (reg. $2.59) was on sale for .50 (summer clearance again!). I bought two bottles, used a $1.00 off q and got them both free!

Hello,
Thanks for the opportunity to join this group. But please delete me on # 35 because I misspelled my name, DUH! Sorry about that.
More power!

I did the Sauve deal very close to what is posted but slightly different. I bought 3 bodywashes @ 2.00 and used the b1/g1 coupon along with the 2.00 off when you buy 3 items coupon. After coupons and ECB's I got 3 body washes for free!
There was also a 1.00 off Colgate coup a while back that is good for this deal as well if you don't have an all for you.

Instead of using the BOGO cover girl lip coupon for wetslicks, I used it for Outlast lip color on sale BOGO. So I got $26 worth of free makeup that way in stead of $12. That's 2 Oulast@ 9.99 and 1 wetslicks @ 5.99.
Posted by: Maryanne@ My Penny Pile | September 02, 2008 at 06:34 AM
Be careful with the Wetslicks...it's ONLY for Amazement, which is the lip gloss that has crest beads in it. It does not work on the regular or on the crystals.

The BC deal was in my ad, in central Texas. It worked great! But I did have problems getting my ECB's for the Colgate. Did anyone else have this problem?

Thanks so much for your website! It has been so helpful to me! I love all the great ideas that you and all the other readers share! Keep up the good work!

I love to look at the scenarios for each week. It gives me some great ideas!

Hi,
The BC/Goody deal this week is also good to pair up with the Arnicare monthly deal.
If you buy one of each, use the $2/10 and $2 Arnicare Q, it's $6.28 OOP, with $9.29 ECB earned. MM!!!!
I don't know how to post a link here, but there's a $3 bricks coupon for Ambi products on the site www.iheartcvs.com. You can find it under her post for the Sept. ad deals.
If you pair that with the monthly deal, buy one Ambi product, get $3 ECBs, it could be a money maker because it can be used on a $4.99 product. There is also bar soap that is marked at $1.99. Again, a small money maker.
Since this month looks so sad with the deals, I'd thought I share these scenarios! Hope it helps someone!

Hello! Thanks so much for all of your great information. It's been motivating for me! DO you have a good place to get deals for the following weeks? I was in a local CVS and the manager handed me next weeks ad, which I was ecstatic for to say the least. I posted them all on my blog (addictedtocoupons.blogspot.com) but after typing it all out I figured there has to be a place that is already doing this. ANy suggestions? Thanks!

When I went in today to do the CG Wetslicks deal they would not take the B1G1 coupon, only the $1/1 coupon. I still just got one tube since it was free with $1 overage, but I was disappointed. :( Did anyone else have that problem?
Posted by: Kirstin | September 02, 2008 at 03:33 PM
Kirstin , i had the same problem. The cashier told me the BOGO coupon was for the outlast only. I was wrestling my toddler so I just used the $1 off coupon and didnt argue, even though the more I see some could use it, the madder I get.
Posted by: april | September 02, 2008 at 05:47 PM
It makes me feel better that others are having the same problem with the CoverGirl and I'm not the only one. I was frustrated yesterday with the whole thing. Plus on top of that, the cashier changed my coupon for the Dawn soap to only give me .99 off instead of the $1 (can they do that?)and the Arnicare gel rang up $9.49 instead of the $8.99 that was listed on the shelf. What do you do in these cases? It takes me forever to get everything organized and then when this happens, it really frustrates me. Can you give me any suggestions so that this doesn't continue to happen or is it just out of my control?
Posted by: Raeann | September 03, 2008 at 05:38 AM
Hi- the Arnicare gel is $9.49 not $8.99- but you still get $8 ECB back.
***************
Money Saving Mom here: At our store and most stores, it is
$8.99--just bought some earlier this week so I know that! But maybe it's different at your store? I'd make sure it's the exact one listed in the ad to be sure you get your $8 ECBs back!
The good news, though, is that even if it is $9.49, with the $2/1 coupon, it's still a money-maker!
Posted by: jan | September 03, 2008 at 07:53 AM
Raeann, I always go by one of the scanners (where you scan your card to get your coupons) and scan every item in my basket before I go check-out. Although I have never had an item ring higher than it was supposed to, I have been surprised by LOWER prices a couple of times. When you've got everything figured out, so that you are only going to owe a quarter, and one of the items is 50 cents less than you expected, that throws off all your planning!
Posted by: Lisa | September 03, 2008 at 08:00 AM
Hello there - the Arnicare gel for me at our store yesterday was $9.49, but like Crystal said, withi the $2 coupon you still get it free. I'm going to try another store though and see if it is $8.99, 'cause that'd be even better! :) I saw several people had noted the price difference, but prices aren't guaranteed to be the same in all stores, although they are similar.

My CVS had a bunch of the seasonal stuff on sale for 75% off...coolers, pool toys, some playdoh and other toys, bubbles, etc. I was able to get big bottles of bubbles for .24 cents along with some other really great deals. I even put some things back as stocking stuffers for Christmas!
Posted by: Gena | September 04, 2008 at 07:16 AM
I just wanted to let you know about this printable coupon that you can print twice, its only 50 cents but its better than nothing with them being on the ECB list for September for CVS

I had trouble with the $2/1 Arnicare coupon you linked to. It printed fine and the barcode looked normal, but when I went to check out it beeped. The cashier (friendly and helpful) wasn't able to push it through either.
Has anyone else had this problem? I was planning to do this deal multiple times since it's on sale for $8.99 at my CVS, but if it's not a money-maker, I'm not so sure.
I got awesome CTRs tho, so I'm still happy! (My receipt was almost as long as I am.)
