Just noticed your counter - congratulations :)

The $3/1 Robitussin coupon says "one per purchase". Does this mean that you can use one for each bottle or one for each transaction?
*****************
Money Saving Mom here: Unless it says, "Limit 1 per transaction", you should be able to use more than one in a transaction unless your store limits you. "One per purchase" is on most coupons and only refers to the fact that you should use one manufacturer's coupon per item purchased. Hope that helps!

I don't know if some P&G's are different, but in mine, the $.75 coupon for the Crest rinse was for a bigger size. Although it would probably scan anyway, I didn't want people to accidentally use a coupon wrongly.

The acid controller in the pharmacy booklet is not the same as the one on rebate.

I'm always afraid to use such high value coupons with all the fake ones going around. This looks legit but how do you really know?
********************
Money Saving Mom here: Diana, so long as the coupon is directly off of the manufacturer's website, you can be for sure that the coupon is legitimate.

Just got back from Walgreens -- spent $16 got $19.50 back in RR, which I will use to buy some of the Sept. free after rebate items. MJ -- I did the Robitussin deal -- had no problem using all three coupons in one transaction. We are well-stocked on cold medicine!!!
I could not find the Visine--couldn't find it in the ad and there was nothing marked on the Visine in the store (but I have a 3-week-old baby, so maybe I'm just sleep deprived!?!??!)

Today in my paper (San Antonio) i got a $3/10 purchase with no limitations!! Its fantastic! I purchased (5) Shcick Quattro Woman razors @ 4.99 each and used (5) $4 off manu coupons. My total was 1.95 and i paid with my gift card that i got from rebates.
Also, Today i found out that our walgreens sales the newspaper for .50 every sunday instead of $1.60. What a great deal that is!.

My RR's are not printing for the Robitussin. Anybody else having this problem? I'm in Salem, Oregon.
Posted by: Amy | September 07, 2008 at 12:18 PM
Thanks for your work. It is very selfless of you to compile all of this for us!
I accidentally posted this on the wrong post a second ago, but I'll try to do it right this time :)
I tried to do the Robitussin deal at Wags today. I used 3 of the $3 coups and bought three Robs. The register reward didn't print. They told me it was because I used manufacturer's coups, which means it won't print. Is this true, or is there just something else I need to do?
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
Posted by: Becky | September 07, 2008 at 12:58 PM
I have posted the direct links to the coupons on my blog if you can't find the specific coupon.
I did this morning. This is a great deal. Use the RR to buy the free after rebate deals, and it is even better!!
Yea Walgreens!

My beauty counter had a $1/1 coupon for the Chemistry Shampoo, but I had to ask for it. It was a white sheet on a tear pad they had.
Posted by: Stephanie | September 07, 2008 at 03:32 PM
I'm a little new to the coupon world so feel free to tell me if this won't work.
Oust Sanitizer 2.99
Use $1 Easy Saver Coupon
Stack with $1 Manufacturer Coupon (I don't know which insert, I file alphabetically)
Final Price = 0.99
I've also got a B1G1 coupon for this product. Will I be able to use this coupon in conjunction with the above?

I rolled the Robitussin deal into the Scrubbing bubbles deal X 2. I spent about $14 out of pocket and I am getting 3.79 back in rebate for the Scrubbing bubbles action Cleaner. I used my Visine Coupons to help me get the price down on the original robitussin purchase. Here is what I bought for $14: 4 scrubbing bubble action wipes, 6 scrubbing bubbles wipes, 2 scrubbing bubbles cleaner, 2 windex wipes, 12 robitussin, 6 visine, 6 Smart Balance butter, 3 2pks of Mr Clean Eraser, 2 Mr Clean Cleaning solution, 1 large package of q-tips, 2 packs of gum, 2 -.99 cent Halloween items, 1 candy item, 2 neutrogena sunscreens(these were $10 items!). Hooray for RR!!!
Posted by: Kristin | September 07, 2008 at 04:34 PM
I did the Robittussin deal no problem. Working here in Chicago. I actually did the deal 4 times, as my family gave me their coupons to pick it up for them. (They love the deals but never seem to make it to the stores!!! So I get them the freebies and get to keep the RRs! It's a good situation, otherwise they'd miss out on everything!)
Posted by: Coupon Geek | September 07, 2008 at 04:48 PM
At my Walgreens, RR never print if I use coupons, so I've just given up on combining them :(
If I'm buying items that produce RR, I check them out in a seperate transaction with NO coupons, just to be safe and then do the rest of my purchases with coupons in a second transaction.
I would love to know more about the RR & coupon issue if anyone has information from Walgreens since it seems some people have success at it.
Posted by: Jessie | September 07, 2008 at 04:52 PM
Leigh - You should be able to use the B1G1 with the Oust. But since it produces $0.01 overage YMMV.
Your transaction would look like this:
2 - Oust Sanitizer @ 2.99 ea (5.98)
B1G1 -
Waglreens Easy Saver -
Man Q -
Total -
Make sure you are buying something else to absorb the penny overage this causes.
This transaction worked fine for me. :)

I just got back from Walgreens. Did the Robitussin deal twice, have $20 in RR, used the printed coupons with no trouble at all.
Here's my question, and I would VERY much like an answer. :) Can I take one of these $10 RR and use it to do the deal again plus add some groceries into it as well?
If ANYONE knows the answer to this, please post it as I don't want to waste $4 of my RR to do the robitussin thing again if it won't work.
Thanks!

The Crest mouthwash on sale at Walgreens, while a great deal, should be watched out for. Recently there was a news story about how this particular Crest product turns the area between the teeth brown. My husband and I can vouch for this as being true - we both noticed that our teeth were brown at the inside edges and discontinued use of the mouthwash. Sorry for the bad news. Happy Couponing!

I bought three Robitussin, and 1 Visine. I used the ES coupon for the Visine, a $3/1 Visine coupon from All You, and (3) of the printable Robitussin coupons. My total was $2.37 and I got a $10 RR!! We are stocked on cold medicine for the winter!! Thanks for the info!

I did the Robitussin deal twice. I got the $10 RR both times.

Wow, what an exciting week at Walgreens! I don't have access to 2 computers to print off the Action Scrubber coupons, but I will use the 2 I printed, and I love the handy flushable wipes (great if you've got potty training kids- you never know where things will end up!), so I will use 3 $1/1 coupons for those from the 7/20 S, and then to round it out (why not go for 7 items?) I will add on 2 Shout sprays and use 2 $0.75/1 coupons from the 8/10 S2. That should get me all that stuff for $0.03 after the $10 in RRs!! :-)
I will also for sure do the Robitussin deal- I was looking at it, and even without the coupons it's a great deal! You get 3 bottles of the Robitussin or Dimetapp for $2 after RRs! But I think I will use my coupons, since I printed them out...
Walgreens, here I come!
Posted by: Kasey | September 07, 2008 at 08:56 PM
Leigh... I have that same B1G1 oust coupon (actually I have 2 LOL) + 1.50 mc + 1 WAGS to make the final price .49 for two. I've used similar coupons together like that with no problem. HTH! Danielle

hi all,
i just moved to California and our Walgreens ad is only about six to eight pages a week. It's missing most of the sale items, RRs and store coupons. Does anyone know: if I print the store coupons off the website, will my stores in SF accept them? What about RRs?
Thanks,
Jen

Mary: "Here's my question, and I would VERY much like an answer. :) Can I take one of these $10 RR and use it to do the deal again plus add some groceries into it as well?"
Mary if you use the $10 RR you got from the Robitussin deal to pay for the Robitussin next time you will NOT get the RR to print again.
However, you should be able to use a RR from a different transaction like the cleaning supplies to pay for the Robitussin and you will still get the RR.
Walgreens doesn't allow you to "roll" the RR to get more of the same product. Hope this makes sense. :)

I did the Robitussin deal twice today and got the $10 register rewards both times. I am not a big fan of Walgreens because of their weird coupon taking rules, but this was a good deal. Rule 1 (for those asking) you have to have at least as many items as coupons--if you have more items than coupons, it won't take anymore. So throw in some low money fillers to fix the problem. Rule 2, you can't use a RR you get for a deal again on the same deal to get more RR's. It won't work. I just used my RR today on diapers, cause I need to build up my stockpile. BTW, I found the boxes of Pampers on "Clearance Liquidation" at Walgreens today for $10.74!!! So be on the look out for them. Maybe they are doing away with the boxes? Be on the lookout.

Hi! I ran to Walgreens this evening and picked up the ROBITUSSIN DEAL & it worked fine. The cash register didn't even BEEP at her =) I have a pic of my haul at: http://momsbyheart.blogspot.com . Over $70 worth for under $5 after RR's WOOHOO!
Posted by: Lori | September 07, 2008 at 11:07 PM
I tried to use RR on the scrubbing bubbles deal yesterday and the new RR did not print out. The cashier said I could not use RR to pay for items that produced RR. I had to return everything and rebuy it without using RR. : (

Okay, when I went to our Walgreens today, ready to get Robitussin for such a great deal, it wasn't on sale at all. When I asked one of the workers about it, she said our Walgreens is very different from others and the RR wouldn't be the same either. Has anybody else had this problem? I had noticed before that I couldn't find some of the deals (or products) that were mentioned here so now I guess I know why. It's probably because we're such a small town? Has anyone from Central Mississippi been able to do these deals? Thanks for your help!

I went to one of my local Walgreens today to do the Robitussin deal and the RR did not print. The checker had to call the manager over to deal with the printable coupons, there was a long line behind me, and my lunch hour was over so I did not ask about the RR ($0.99 for a bottle of Robitussin was fine, I didn't mind paying) even though I know I should have.
however, I remembered that a few weeks ago, a $2 RR that was supposed to print for Huggies did not and I had used a coupon for that purchase as well (at a different local Walgreens).
I think my Walgreens are also not printing RR's when coupons are used though I will need to confirm next time I try out a deal like this.
Very disappointing if so and I'm tempted to call corporate Walgreens to find out if the stores get to set these policies for themselves and what they have to say about it.

I tried to do the Robitussin deal today, using the $3 coupons, and my $10 RR did not print. The cashier was pretty snotty and told me it was because I used coupons. I tried to tell her that I was very familiar with the RR program and I had used coupons on items before without problems getting my RR. She called her manager over (who was much nicer) and she also told me it was because I used coupons. I know that is not true, since I had just used a coupon on the Excedrin two days prior and received my $1 RR just fine. I didn't feel like arguing with my whiny child there so I just called Corporate when I got home. The woman I spoke with said someone would get back with me within 24 hours. I got a call a few minutes ago from the manager I spoke with this morning and she said she got permission to give me $10 on a gift card. So those of you who did not get the RR might benefit from a call to Walgreens Corporate. Here is the number: 847-914-2500. Hope this helps someone!
Posted by: Holly | September 08, 2008 at 03:28 PM
Am I missing something here? Why would Walgreens have a problem honoring the RRs just because of coupons? Don't they get the money back from the manufacturer for the coupons? Also, I was wondering if anyone has noticed anything in writing on their adds that say RR's are void if coupons are used. I haven't tried it yet, and who knows, it may work fine. But it's been discouraging to read that so many of you are having problems with it. It's not like you're doing anything under-handed. How dare they punish people for being financially clever! :)

I just did the 4 scrubbing bubbles with the 4 $2.75 coupons. The cashier didn't want to scan in all the coupons because it said cannot be combined. i said that is only if you do more then one coupon on the same item. She went ahead and did it but said she would probably get in trouble for it. I don't want to get cashiers in trouble. I am understanding the coupons correctly?

I went to Walgreens this afternoon for the Robitussin. My RR didn't print. The cashier had to call the manager up. He got the RR to print without using coupons. The cashier had mentioned to him that I wasn't even paying $5 for a $10 RR. He gave me my RR and I was on my merry way. He said he would not be issuing them for the others though. He was leaving them to call corporate. We have another store on the other side of town so I will try that store.

I posted earlier about not getting my $10 RR on the Robitussin deal. I did use a $1 RR from the Excedrin deal in that transaction...maybe that's why my $10 RR did not print??
Posted by: Holly | September 08, 2008 at 06:31 PM
I just got done with the scrubbing bubbles deal, and I walked away with the 4 scrubbers for 4.48 after tax. The RR would not print because I used 4 coupons for the transaction. I am noticing others had the same problem I had. I am think that a little more than a dollar for each scrubber was fine to pay especially since I opened the box and there were coupons inside, and they did such a good job cleaning my tub.
