Super Savings Saturday: Kroger, Aldi, and pears
We spent $39 at the store this week. Here's what we bought:
You can read more of the details of this trip here.
My sister also stopped by Wal-Mart on Thursday and picked up five pounds of bananas for us at $0.19 per pound (another grocery store offers bananas for $0.19/lb. on Thursdays so she just price-matched at Wal-Mart since it's right on the way to our house).
So our total altogether was $39 for groceries this week--including diapers! You can see our menu for this week here, in case you're interested.
We also saved money by creatively using two grocery sacks of pears which were given to us. Read more about what we did with those here.
Those are a few ways we saved money this week. How'd you do this week? Post about the deals and bargains you were able to snag this week or other ways you saved money on your blog (with pictures, if possible!) and then come back here and leave your link below. **To make it easy for everyone to navigate quickly through the links, your link must link directly to your Super Savings Saturday post.**

Thanks again!

Quickly, I just want to say thanks. I was always a coupon user...but with the help of you and the group of lovely people who share information here, I've become a coupon 'queen'! We are facing possible layoffs, so I'm using coupons to stock up the pantry for potentially leaner times. Thank you for helping me find a way to do this without money! (woot!)

Between the Jewel catalina deal and the 8 huge free pumpkins I got, this was hands-down the best week of my couponing careers so far.

Went to Target this morning to get a bridal ahower gift and happened to notice a 90% off costumes sign. Let me say I would never pay $30 for a costume! Ever! My boys were asking for various super hero costumes for Christmas, so I decided to check it out. I got 3 costumes for $7.50!

Just starting out on the coupon journey. I felt pretty good about all the deals that I got until I read about how much all the "professional" couponers saved! Oh well! I'm sure I'll learn with time!

LOVE this blog! A friend recommended it and I have passed it onto others. Can you share which store has $.19 bananas on Thursdays? I always try to get stores to sell me over-ripe bananas for a discount, but they say they can't. Thanks!
