Walgreens: Deals for the week of November 16-22, 2008

The deals at Walgreens looked pretty non-existent to Mercedes and me. Here are the few we came up with:

WEEKLY DEALS (Thanks to Nichole for spotting these!)

Skippy Peanut Butter-- on sale 2 for $3.00
Use $1/2 coupon from 10/5 RedPlum
$1 each after coupon

Deerfield Cheddar or Mexican Shredded Cheese (8 oz.)--on sale 2 for $3.00
(This is about $0.50 less per 8 oz. bag than the Aldi price and is definitely a pretty good deal on cheese. If you have room in your budget and freezer to stock up, definitely consider doing so since this cheese freezes well for up to a few months.)

French's French Fried Onions--$1.29 with in-ad coupon

Use $0.50/1 or $0.75/1 coupons from the 11/09 SmartSource insert or the $0.50/1 printable here
$0.54-$0.79/can after coupons

Chex Mix--$0.99
Use $0.50/1 coupon from 11/09 SmartSource insert
$0.49 after coupon

REGISTER REWARD DEALS

Buy 1 Just for Men Touch of Gray Hair Color on sale for $7, Get $7 in Register Rewards
Use $2/1 coupon here (Thanks, Thriftee Momee!)
Send in for full rebate here (Thanks, Nichole!)
Free plus a potential of $9 overage after coupon, Register Rewards, and rebate

Also, see the great deal Nichole cooked up on Suave hair care products here. Less than $0.01 per bottle!

NOVEMBER FREE-AFTER-REBATE ITEMS:

Almay One Coat Mascara--up to $6.99 rebate
Use $1/1 from 8/3 inserts
Free plus $1 overage after coupon and full rebate

L'Oreal Age Perfect Pro Calcium Radiance Perfector--up to $19.99 rebate
Use $2/1 manufacturer coupon from 10/5 inserts
Free plus $2 overage after coupon and full rebate

Yes, I saw free jello:

Royal Gelatin 5/$1 with in ad coupon (pg. 2)
-$1/5 blinkies found at various grocery stores.
FREE after Blinkies and in ad coupon!

This is actually a great deal because Just for Men offers a rebate up to $8 as well. Print out the form on their site: http://www.touchofgray.com/index.asp (look for the link on the lower left) so after register rewards & rebate, you'll make $7!

I found some good, not great, deals on peanut butter ($1), Bertolli Meals ($3.25) and Chex Mix ($.49). These are good deals if you have RR you need to use.

There is nearly free Suave and good deals on Skippy and French's French Fried Onions. Also the Deerfield Farm Cheese is a good price. Here are all of the deals I found: http://tinyurl.com/5n3wft

Hershey's bars are .39 with a 7 day coupon & there are B1G1F manu Qs from a few weeks ago so you'd get 2 bars for .39. Not bad if you need a filler or just want some cheap chocolate to get you thru the day ;.)

The best deals are going to be for the "double dips" 11/21 and 11/22. The Bioinfusium will be free - 2 bottles. Hershey's holiday candies and M&Ms are also double dip items that can be .50 cents a bag to money maker with the right coupons. Arm and Hammer carpet refresher .99 cents with IP coupon. The food deals mentioned by Kolina and Frugal is Fab as well as .39 cent Butterball broth and .79 cent Ocean Spray cranberry sauce. So far in my area .88 at Walmart has been the lowest.

Aw man, I was hoping for something with some overage to pay for the hand soap we desperately need. :)

Thanks for these!

Hidden Deal on Suave Shampoo, Conditioner or Styling Products- they are all 25% off + Buy 2, get $1, Buy 3, Get $2, Buy 4 or more, Get $3 ECB. So, here's the way to get the Free Sauve: Buy: (4) Suave Products at $1.50 ($1.99- 25% off) = $6.00, Use: (2) $1.50/2 (RP 9/21)= $3.00 and get $3.00 ECB= Free

I was at Walgreens a few hour ago (11/16) and I bought four 2-litre bottles of Dr. Pepper w/ in ad coupon for 79 cents ea. On the bottles, there were 55 cents off stickers on them! That marked it down to 24 cents a bottle!

My Walgreens had 2 liters of Hawaiian punch for $0.78 AND a peelie for $1 off 2 - making it $0.26 for a 2 liter of Hawaiian punch!

I'm surprised nobody thinks the All detergent 2/$8 is a good deal. I haven't been to the store to see which kinds are included in the sale, but we use the All Free & Clear, and I'm hoping that's in the sale! It's usually more than $4 each, but I also have coupons (www.allfreeclear.com) for $1/1. So if the Free & Clear is included in the sale, I'll get them for $3 each... Sounds awesome to me.

The airwick flameless candles are a good buy this week in conjunction with the coupon in sunday's paper. You can end up only paying $2 for one.

I had a problem with the Just for Men hair color. I bought a box and used $2 printable coupon. When my purchase was complete, the $7 RR did not print. The manager told me that b/c I used a coupon to reduce the price, I would not get the RR. I don't see how this can be true b/c I just bought cereal last week with coupons and still got the RR. Maybe it's because I lowered the price below the RR amount and the cereal coupons didn't? Did anyone else have this problem? I'm going to do the rebate, but would have preferred the rebate and RR.

Tried to do the Crest Spin-brush deal and the Easy Saver coupon would nbot work. It is not for "any" spin brush "$4.99" it is for the $19.99 rechargable one. Anyone get this to work for them??
