Super Savings Saturday: This week's ~$40 shopping trip
I shopped the mark-downs at Dillons and then got fruit, frozen veggies, and other staples at Aldi this week. My total after coupons was $38.49!
How'd you do this week? Post about the deals and bargains you were able to snag this week or other ways you saved money on your blog (with pictures, if possible!) and then come back here and leave your link below. **To make it easy for everyone to navigate quickly through the links, your link must link directly to your Super Savings Saturday post.**

I love Dillons!!!

Did anyone else receive a card like this from Helzberg Diamonds? I am not sure how I received it. I have never purchased anything there!

I have been having a great time using $1/1 Wild Harvest coupons at Jewel to get whole grain pasta at 25 cents a pound. It just so happens that pasta is the one food my pregnant body wants lately. Thank goodness it's whole grain.

I got a lot of free cookie mix this week, some free cereal, cocoa mix, air freshener, frosting, frozen veggies and toilet paper! I did buy other things, but I just posted my super deals. Our weekly average for the three of us for groceries, household items and toiletries is about $30, and with that we are stocking up some extras and giving things to the local food pantry too!

Just out of curiosity, what would you make with this trip's food for your family for this weeK? I cannot see how you do it! Would you please share your ideas? Thanks so much!

Money Saving Mom here: As always, we're eating from the pantry and freezer in addition to what I purchased here. I didn't have a chance to share my menu this week, but you can see past menus here:

Hope that helps!

Okay, I've gotta ask...
How are 2 adults and 2 kids going to eat 12 grapefruit and 2 bags of oranges before they go bad? How long do grapefruit keep anyway? Is there something else you're doing with them that I'm not thinking of?

Money Saving Mom here: Considering the fact that we love fruit--especially citrus fruit--and can go through four grapefruit in a day no problem, I don't think it's going to be an issue. :)
However, I bought enough to last us for two weeks since citrus fruit keeps at least for three weeks and these were the best prices I'd seen all year long (tangerines were 9 for $1.69 and the grapefruit were $0.25 each!).
If only my juicer hadn't broken, I would have likely bought twice as many!

Thanks for the pictures & lists each week. Since you shop at Dillons, any chance you'd consider doing a Dillons deals posting like you do for CVS & Walgreens? I find your posting style one of the easiest to read. Were the grapefruits on markdown or was that a sale price, 25c each? I missed that in our ad, but maybe our ads run different dates (ours is Wed-Tue).

I love that L'Oreal Vive Shampoo/Conditioner! I got a box of Apple Jacks at Wal-Mart for $.64 :) It was $1.64 a box and I used a $1.00 off coupon. I was pretty excited about that!
