CVS: Neutrogena money-maker
I've been taking a short blogging break for Memorial Day weekend but I just turned on my computer for the first time since Saturday evening and found this sweet Neutrogena money-maker deal which I wanted to go ahead and share for those who might still be making a run to CVS today:
When you buy 2 Neutrogena sun care of or sunless tanning products, you get $10 ECBs (Limit 1). Buy 2 Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 55 1 oz. tubes at $1.99, you'll earn $10 ECBs. So you'll pay $3.98 plus tax out of pocket and get $10 ECBs back!
Thanks, Mercedes!
Also, Stephanie found Hefty One Zip Bags (6-8 ct.) priced at $1 every day at her CVS. If your CVS carries these, you can use the $1/1 coupon from the 5/17 RedPlum insert to get them free!

Has anyone had success with this offer? My CVS ad states that prices per product start at $7.35, so I'm curious if there are restrictions to this offer...
***************************
Money Saving Mom here: Yes, multiple people have tried this and reported that the ECBs have printed for them.

I JUST came home from CVS....but I will go back for this.
After getting sun poisoning last year, I am VERY cautious and always pack my sunscreen :)

Where are these in the store?? I could not find them.
Posted by: susan | May 25, 2009 at 03:05 PM
The trick is finding the 1 oz. tubes. They're not with the sunscreen or in the travel-sized samples, but I've read that some people have found them in a separate display in the makeup aisle. No luck for me, alas!

I just got back from my cvs and I could not find them on the sunscreen aisle. Then I found another section of sunscreen located with the "summer/seasonal" items. No luck there either. I will try again tomorrow at a different CVS. Hopefully I will find them there! Thanks for the tip!

I found these in the cosmetics aisle after a nice girl saw I was using extra bucks and pulled me aside to show me the hot deal. They printed off no problem and I'm super happy about the money maker (more diaper money, right?!)

I was going to use the $1 Q that I had--but noticed that they said "waste" bags...just check first.
Posted by: Shannon | May 25, 2009 at 04:23 PM
I found the sunscreen at the pharmacy register.
Posted by: Shannon | May 25, 2009 at 04:24 PM
I found them at the check out counter in a clear circular bin practically hidden behind another display(this would be a time when my stubbornness paid off!!)This was at the CVS in Ashland Va.

No luck for me. I went to 2 CSV, could not find the small one...
Posted by: zina | May 25, 2009 at 04:33 PM
Actually my store had hundreds of them in plastic containers right with all the other little stuff next to the registers . Worked perfect for me. Made some moneeeeeey!!! But it expires this year, so use it right away.
Posted by: lena | May 25, 2009 at 04:43 PM
It took me a long time to find them but at my CVS they were on the seasonal aisle next to pool toys, swimmy diapers, etc. sort of near the checkout. And for $4 of sunscreen I got $10 ECB, no problems! What a deal!!

Anyone who needs more details on this deal(where to find them, upc codes, etc), I have all the details on my blog.

Hi! I live in Florida, and it worked great for me. Went to two stores, and couldn't find them at both! I was so bummed. But then as I was walking out the door at the last minute, I found them! They were in a little plastic round bin at the front of the store on an endcap. With all the other "CVS reinventing beauty" stuff...near the makeup. Good luck! Worked perfectly for me! $10 in my pocket for next time! Yippeee!
Posted by: Meagan | May 25, 2009 at 05:23 PM
What a great deal. Is this a Sunday/Monday only thing? I'm going to have to check out CVS.com. I feel a trip coming on!
Posted by: Heather | May 25, 2009 at 05:35 PM
I scoured two stores today looking for these with no luck...looked in all travel/sample displays, in all lotion/cosmetic/sunscreen sections, and even in the seasonal aisles....didn't see them anywhere and these are the two largest CVS stores in my area. Oh, well...too good to be true here, I guess! I still scored in finding the Neutrogena booklets at CVS with the $2 coupons in them, so got a good deal anyway, but not a GREAT deal like this!
Posted by: Sara | May 25, 2009 at 05:36 PM
Pharmacy on the sunscreen! My Hefty Q says for "waste" bags. You guys may have a different one!
Posted by: Shannon | May 25, 2009 at 06:28 PM
I hope I can find them. I absolutely love this sunscreen! It is not greasy at all!
Posted by: Marie | May 25, 2009 at 06:35 PM
No luck for me. I found the item but it wasn't offering the ECB's. So sad. Would have been a great deal.
Posted by: DEIRDRE | May 25, 2009 at 06:54 PM
Yippee! This worked for me in Indiana! I did have to search for them. They were with the cosmetics displays in a round tub. THANKS! I just got "paid" $6 for 10 minutes of work!
Posted by: Jessica | May 25, 2009 at 07:11 PM
I had luck finding them today! They were not with the sunscreen up front, but they were in an aisle next to it with random stuff. There were 3 of us, and we each bought 2... paid maybe a total of $13 between the 3 of us and got $30 in ECBs. I tried another CVS and could not find them though. Good luck!
Posted by: Katrina | May 25, 2009 at 07:18 PM
They didn't have them at my CVS. :o(
Posted by: Ginny R | May 25, 2009 at 07:32 PM
I just got home from CVS and I found these little tubes in a small plastic display case on a shelf in the make-up aisle. I purchased two and the $10 ECB printed just fine.
Posted by: Stacy | May 25, 2009 at 07:33 PM
I found them, and as of last night, were still producing $10 ECB's. Ours were near the front of the store where they display the newer cosmetics and such. I had looked everywhere else in the store, but when I mentioned to the cashier what I was looking for, she brought me right to 'em! Said they had been there, untouched, for a long time!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. This was my first time CVS-ing. I admit I have been quite fearful of the whole process. It is unbelievable. I spent $9.50 and walked out with $15 in ECB. I looked all over for the 1oz tubes of suntan lotion and found them hidden at the check out counter. Thanks again.
Posted by: Marisa | May 25, 2009 at 07:52 PM
I found some today and it worked!!! I found the 1 oz. tubes in a section that had sunscreen, bug spray, and outdoors type stuff. There is a sunscreen section back by the makeup but this other sunscreen section was towards the front of the store in sort of a seasonal isle. Hope this helps and you find some!!
Posted by: wendy | May 25, 2009 at 07:55 PM
I found them in a tub on the check out counter. They were $1.99. Bought 2 and got my $10.00 ECB no problem!!!
Posted by: Lisa | May 25, 2009 at 07:55 PM
I've seen multiple reports of where you can find these in the stores. So far, here's what I've found:
* with the trial size products
* with the sun care products
* at the pharmacy counter (in a bin)
* near the front of the cosmetic section where they display newer items (plastic cylinder)
* in the cosmetics section in a basket with other loose items like lip gloss
* in the cosmetics section on an endcap display (bottom shelf)
I'm going hunting for them tomorrow!
Posted by: Jennifer | May 25, 2009 at 08:23 PM
I went tonight...I hunted for them too and finally asked. The manager showed me they were up at the cash register in a round container. I paid $1.99 for each and got the $10 ECB back!

Be careful with that sunscreen. I got sun poisoning last year (as did dh) while using this product. Turns out, according to the company, it doesn't work for everyone. We blistered where ever it was applied. Worst anniversary ever!

I didn't find any either. :-/ Oh well!
Posted by: Olivia | May 25, 2009 at 09:33 PM
Yes, these can be found in the "special" or "new" featured makeup and facial products at the front of the store. These are in a plastic Neutrogena tub. Some people have found them in the plastic tub in various other areas (above the shampoo, above face care, etc.).

this is why I can't wait for the cvs to open up by us that is being built by us now.

Just went to the CVS near me in Henderson NV and no extra bucks printed out. :(
Posted by: Dawn | May 25, 2009 at 10:13 PM
I didn't find them either, but it seems I didn't look in the right places. I'm going back tomorrow! Must have!!
As far as the Hefty bags, there are a total of FIVE Hefty coupons in my insert (TX)... one for bowls/plates (Albertson's...), one for cups (Alb.), one for kitchen trash bags (I think), one for those big black trash bags (I think), and one for the one-zip bags, and it doesn't say excluding trial size. It is the only Hefty coupon on that page, toward the bottom. Inserts vary, though. However, my Hefty bags are $1.50 at my CVS stores. Bummer. Don't want to pay 50 cents, but there are $1 coupons for the same thing right on the back. I guess if you really need them...
Posted by: Stacy | May 25, 2009 at 11:43 PM
Thank you for this post. I didn't find the trial size but will ask the manager tomorrow. I bet they're just hiding them in the back!
I did find 2 sunscreen sticks $7.49. With two $2/1 coupons, I only paid $1 after ECBS. I will stock up on the trial size if they have them. They'll be FREE plus overage with $2/1 coupon I saw in a brochure in the RIB section.

I found these and tried the scanner before checking out and a q for $3/2 neut. Men's products printed.....my sweet cashier scanned it and it worked.....I paid $1.05 for my two.....wooohooooo!!!!

Check in the seasonal aisle. That's where I found them. And yes, the $10 ECBs printed out as well. I had to hit up 2 stores. The first didn't have them, just the 3oz tubes. Good luck!
Posted by: Jeremy | May 26, 2009 at 08:08 AM
I found them in a cheap, see through round plastic bin thingy on a shelf in cosmetics. Totally unmarked, no price, nothing!
They did work though!

My CVS in Greencastle, In did not have them anywhere that I could find. When I asked a cahier, she pointed me to the sunscreen row. Maybe others had already come before me?? But it seems that many times, my CVS is lacking the same deals as other stores. I am going to try a few other CVS stores in the next few days.

I tried this around noon at a store in Central Florida and the ECB's printed. The tubes were actually in the first place I looked. As mentioned above, they were on a bottom shelf with the other special displays for makeup/facial products at the front of the store, in a clear plastic cylinder with a Neutrogena advertisement at the top.

I found the 1 oz. tubes today. When the eb's printed, the cashier made her normal announcement about my eb's and handed me the receipt. As I walked away, it registered in her mind that I had paid $3.98 (in eb's) and received $10 eb's back. She was dumbfounded, wondering how I accomplished that. I just smiled at her and said, "I just made some money!" So much fun!

For those of us in NV and CA that haven't been getting the EC deals the last few weeks, I just got my ad in the mail today for 5/31-6/6 and the EC Bucks are back!

None at the store in Edgewater, MD.
Posted by: Chrissy | May 26, 2009 at 04:23 PM
I found these right next to the full sized bottles. Bought them for 1.99 each and got $10 in extra care bucks!! What a deal!
Posted by: lisa | May 26, 2009 at 04:47 PM
I found these in a store in Ohio in a round circular bin in the cosmetic area! Thanks for sharing this awesome deal.
Posted by: Carrie | May 26, 2009 at 06:04 PM
Found these tubes today! The cashier thought it was a really good deal. They were in the makeup aisle in a free standing shelf towards the bottom in a clear container.

I saw this deal yesterday morning before my husband and I left to do some running around (including CVSing) so I thought I'd look for them. I looked over the whole store (I thought) then hubby found them in a little basket in the makeup section. So excited...then I found one marked $0.50 in a clearance cart - compared UPCs - REALLY EXCITED!! $1.06 after tax (Western KY) and $10 ECB! I got my 2; hubby got his 2, and the two ladies in the line next to us went back and got the last 6 the store had. Checked 3 stores in my usual town this morning - only one had them (for $1.98 :( still good but so sad after $0.50) so now my mother has a couple and $10 ECB to go with them on her card. This store had them with the sunscreen in the summer fun aisle. Thanks so much for all the information on your site!

Anyone have any luck at CVS in the Detroit area? I checked Farmington Hills with no luck on finding the 1 oz Neutrogena in Farmington Hills. Plus, the Hefty Bags were regular price at my store.
Posted by: Jennifer | May 26, 2009 at 09:28 PM
I checked two stores yesterday and searched EVERWHERE people are posting as to where they found theres, with no luck. Before leaving the second store, I asked the woman who was stocking the makeup and she took me over to where the travel sizes are. There were 3 left shoved in with the new Jergens lotion. She said they hadn't got them in in a long time. I was very excited to get this great deal and the size of the sunscreen is great to throw in the diaper bag. Thanks for the post about this awesome deal!
