CVS: Photo Book ECB deal more than a limit of 1?

I'm hearing numerous reports from commentors, emailers, and other bloggers that the CVS Photo Book ECB deal (Buy one Photo Book at $7.99, Get $7.99 ECBs back) is actually not a limit of one. In fact, I've heard rumors that it could even be a limit of 5 or more.

If you do the Photo Book deal at CVS, can you report back whether it's a limit of 1 for you or not? You can check the bottom of your receipt to see if it says "Offer Limit Reached" after you complete your first book. If it doesn't say "Offer Limit Reached", you should be able to do another. Let us know what you find out on the limits.

Also, if you haven't made a Photo Book before, Nicole has a helpful post here walking you through how to put one together.

When I was in line at CVS, the cashier told the lady in front of me that you can prepay, meaning you can buy the photo book now and use it anytime later - it does not expire. So you could prepay for one (or more, if the deal limit ends up being more) and save it to use for Christmas gifts or when you have more time!!!

I was just at CVS and told by the manager that the photo books are a limit of 5!!!!

I'm in Roanoke, VA, and I did three yesterday in two separate transactions. I did 2 first, and 15.98 ECB printed. At the bottom it says offers 2, 1 needed to reach limit. The second transaction printed out 7.99 ECB and the bottom says offer 1, 1 needed to reach limit. I'm planning on trying two more today.

I am in Dallas, TX and my receipt does not say offer limit reached. I only did one, but may try to go back and do another.

Do you create the book on-line first or do you have to put it together in the store?

The manager at my local CVS was briefing the employees the last time that I was there and explaining to them that it is indeed limit 5 on the photo books. She said that corporate was really wanting the employees to push the photo books.

Limit is 5 here in Athens, GA. I bought 3 last night! The clerk was quick to tell me that I could still get 2 more! Love it! Love it! Love it!

I made four books yesterday and my receipt says I can still do another one.

I saw this and wanted to let you know about snapfish. I don't use it often, but every now and then, they have some really good deals. I signed up for their mailing list, and now and then they'll send you really good deals for photos online. You can upload them and make photobooks, prints, or lots of other stuff for a fairly decent price. And, my inbox is constantly filled with really good deals. I just got one Saturday for 50 prints for a penny each. They email me coupons with coupon codes. Sometimes, the shipping and handling can be expensive, so I don't always use it.

Oops! ^_^ I forgot to add the link to the site. It's:

My friend and I went in on Saturday night and met our limit at 5 photobooks.

Wow! Thanks for pointing this out. I got one yesterday and never checked my reciept. I just did and it DOESN"T say "Offer limit reached". I plan on heading out today to print another one. I am interested to see haw many we can print as this will be a great gift for Granparents.

I got one book yesterday & it says limit has not been met. I will do at least one more and see what it says?! :) These are nice!

I got one in Columbus Ohio and limit not reached.

I got one photo book on Sunday because that's all that my store had in stock (they said they'll get more this week) and my receipt did not say that the limit had been reached. I'm in Georgia, if it matters. :)

My store in Indianapolis has a card table stacked with empty books and a few completed ones for example. The have signs taped all over the table that it is LIMIT 5! They have had signs on the registers for a couple weeks advertising the upcoming photo book sale. I was in there yesterday to get my school supplies, but haven't organized my photos yet to make a photo book. I made a couple Family books for my 2 year old last year and he loves them!

I did the Photo Book deal yesterday. Here's what the bottom of my receipt says:

Photo Book, Buy 1 Get 7.99 EB
Quantity Toward this Reward 1
Quantity Needed to Earn Reward 1

I also did several other deals with limits and those all say:
*Offer Limit Reached.

I can't wait to put mine together. I'm doing it tomorrow so I'll let you know.

So I've never made a photo book before, how to you put this together? I would love to get one but don't know how to go about it. Do I bring pictures to CVS and upload them? Do I do it at home? Thanks for any help!

The limit is 5. I did mine today!

I asked the manager at my store yesterday and she did confirm that the limit is 5. Sweet!

I was just at CVS this morning in western Indiana and there were stacks of them at each register and the photo area. It was a limit of 5. The cashier was very helpful and we did all 5 in separate transactions with various other items I was getting. She marked 'free' on the package and told me to come back and do them whenever I wanted. Great deal!

You can bring up a disk, jump drive or sd card and make your book that way. You can choose the back grounds and themes. They print the pictures and put the book together for you. It usually takes about an hour.

these are pretty cool.
I made 2 last fall when they were free after ECBs

:)
enjoy!

I thought I read on the post that the offer was not good in California....has anyone done this in Northern CA yet & received the ECB? Thanks in advance :)

Sorry! I'm NEW...What are ECB's and EB's? Thank you!!! xo

Limit is five according to the advertisements by the kiosks here in Iowa! Made 2 today and plan on going back for 3 more this week.

In related CVS news, if anyone has the $2.50 off $10 pain reliever CRT, this is a great week to use them! Buy 3 Tylenol Arthritis @ 3.99/ea., use $2.50 CRT, 3 $2/1MQ for a great moneymaker (spend 3.47 OOP, earn $9 ECB). Even if you only have $1/1 printables, it is still a $2.53 Money-maker!

I'm in California and the photobooks weren't in our ad. :( Anyone try it in California just to see if we might be lucky and have it work anyway?

Does anyone know if it's possible to roll the ECBs on the photo books?

I posted a blog walking you through the process of making one here...

In Southern California (Temecula) the photo books were not in the ad, but there is a sign in the store that says: Buy one photo book for $7.99 get $7.99 in ECB. Limit 5

How do you prepay and use them later?
It sounds like it would make some pretty awesome Christmas gifts, but I am not sure how I can prepay for them.
Thanks

I am from Paducah, KY and went in this morning to get the Photobook and the cashier informed me that I could get up to 5 with ECB's. This was a great deal!

I got mine yesterday and I was able to get all 5

To cjs:

ECB's are Extra Care Bucks, which can be used like cash on future transactions at CVS. (EB's would be Extra Bucks, a shortened form of ECB's). They are awesome!!

I asked at my local (NO Cal) store and the lady didn't even know what I was talking about. The books were not in the ad.
I'll try another store later.

I made one at lunch in about 15 minutes and the receipt does not say limit reached!

I just called my So. Cal store and they said they didn't have that offer this week :( :( :(

I just got back from CVS here in Champaign, IL and I got 5 photo books! Check it out:

I went to CVS here in Madison, TN, today and the cashier told me it was a limit of 5 this week! I'm thinking this would be great for Christmas presents for our family :-)

GRR I have called multiple locations in my area, they will only tell me what the flyer says. I cant even get a manager who even knows what I am talking about. I guess I will just go in and take my chances.

Im in central Pa and it's a limit of 5 in our stores, although the managers had no idea what the limit was. There were no signs anywhere. So far I've got 7 using mine and my grandmothers cards.

i did 5 in central FL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so i just did my very first photo book please know that im a computor dummy take the advice from nicole she has a post about planning the book before you go I should have read that post before i went The young man was so good he kept trying and trying but we just couldn't get the 1st page to print small enough for the cutout in the book the color on the page is not quite what i would have liked but after 1 1/2 hours the young man said i feel bad i cant get this right and asked me if i want to take it as it was he would give it to me for free and give the ecb so thats what i did its not horrible just not quite what i thought so now ill have my sister line up the book for me and try again my advice read nicoles tips

I lived in Arlington, TX.
CVS even can't print the correct receipt. Price for 6 x 8 is $9.99. So, the cashier picked 5x 7 photo book as my sales item. It's $7.99. After I show the ad, he printing me one $8 extra bucks. So, I don't know any other store can let me do 6X8 again... Anyone has the same problem? I wasted my 3 hours there. They even don't know how to staple the book. They damaged the photos with the staplers and I have to wait for reprint. I just bring home pieces of photos.

Has anyone in No Cal been successful in this? I can't even find a store than has the capability???

I commented earlier but I'm back to confirm that in Georgia the limit is definitely 5. I made my five today with no problems - well, no ECB problems. We won't talk about the mistakes in stapling or the crashing computer or the cashier miscounting...in the end I wound up with five books and $7.99 in ECBs. :) (I bought them all one at a time, used the $7.99 that printed out to buy the next one, and it was zero OOP each time.)

Is there any way to prepare these online and then pick up in the store?????? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering about preparing on-line as well. I am in Las Vegas and we don't have the deal, :( But, my hubby is in New Orleans working and they have it there. There is no way that I am going to convince him to create the books by himself! If oyu can't on-line then I guess the idea of prepaying will work. Also, because my ecbs are here in LV from prior weeks, I would like to take advantage of all 5, yet not pay sooo much out of pocket. Has anyone had any luck with rolling ECBs and will the cashier let you do that ring them all prepaid up seperately? Thanks for the advice, I can just see something going wrong and him quitting on me, but I WANT those books!!!!

Has anyone tried this in california? It isn't in my ad
