$1/2 Kraft or Cracker Barrel Natural cheese
Cheese coupons aren't incredibly prevalent and since it's something we buy quite a lot of, I'm always happy when a new one surfaces. Go here to print a coupon for $1/2 Kraft or Cracker Barrel Natural Cheese (6 oz. or larger). Pair this coupon with a great store sale and you can get cheese very inexpensively.
Remember that you can freeze cheese. So stock up if you're able to score a sweet deal and then stick some in the freezer to use later. I personally have found that pre-shredded cheese freezes better than block cheese. So you can either buy it pre-shredded or shred it yourself before freezing. Thanks, Abundant Food Savings!

I have a mac book pro and can't get the coupons to print. I have downloaded the printer and then nothing happens. Could you please tell me how to print them? Thanks, Jan

Have you ever tried to freeze string cheese? Mom was here and she bought a ton for the boys, but I'd like to spread it out a bit.

This link keeps saying I need to install the printer I do that and it is still not printing just wanting me to install.

Jan- I also have trouble with my mac sometimes. Try switching the "vg" in the web address to "vi" and see if that works.

I already had the coupon printer download but it prompted me to download it again. I did, it said it had updated..but then nothing printed. I closed out all sites and tried again..and again. It continues to prompt me to download the coupon printer no matter how many times i download it. : (

This link only worked for me in firefox. I still had to reload the coupon printer but it worked.
Posted by: cheryl | October 13, 2009 at 05:38 PM
I was able to get it to print by opening up a Safari browser and replaced "vg&o" for "xg&o" - this is a tip I have found from other bloggers. I have to do this a lot and it does not always work. Hope you all are able to get it to print!

String cheese usually has a very far off date on it (at least the big thing we get at Sam's does). Since they are individually wrapped, they last up to and beyond the date!

Yep - ditto...changed vg to vi and I have lovely cheese coupons!!! Thank you! I get these on sale and freeze them. You can't tell the difference between previously frozen cheese and never-been-frozen cheese. :)

Wow! Thank you Jen and Julie! I have had that particular problem so much lately. I was able to change to vi and print my coupons. How did you ever figure that one out??
Posted by: Julie | October 14, 2009 at 08:02 AM
THANKS! Switching vg to vi worked and I was able to print 2 thank you!

Carli,
I usually shred the cheese before I freeze it and use it on hotdishes or lasagna and HM pizza. Freezing blocks of cheese it gets crumbly to cut it. I have never had cheese expire but we go through it pretty fast. You could also frezze into meal size portions.

Thanks, Crystal, for this. Just so you know (something I learned from my home biz) preshredded cheese, although convenient for us, contains potentially harmful perservatives that are added to ensure that the cheese does not clump together. I was shocked when I found this out and then researched on my own. It's far less expensive and healthier to buy the block cheese and then grate yourself. One of the products I sell the most now through my home biz is a tool designed to help grate cheese faster and easier. Hope this helps! Again, thank you for the coupon!

When you change it to vi, then press enter so it refreshes or updates the address. Then try printing. That works.

A tip on freezing block cheese... add about a tsp of flour to your shredded block cheese (I put about 2 cups of cheese into each quart size freezer bag). Shake the flour around to barely coat the cheese and this keeps it from freezing into one giant block. I never taste the flour, just the yummy fresh cheese.

To answer the question above about freezing string cheese - yes, it works fine and returns to being fun and stringy after you take it back out of the freezer and thaw it. We do this all the time to take advantage of sales and coupons on the string cheese stix.

So glad I read these comments. I was having trouble printing, and fixed that. AND learned about shredded v. block cheese. Hurray!

The link is for firefox as I just printed out 2 on firefox.

When freezing cheese, if you let it thaw overnight completely to room temperature, and then refrigerate it, it will shred fine. Combination cheeses (colby jack, etc.) still crumble a little, but you can still shred it.

It told me that I had printed the coupon already, but I never printed it! Anyone else have this problem?
Posted by: Q | October 15, 2009 at 06:09 AM
I have noticed that shredded cheese spoils sooner than block, even if it is in the freezer. I think it might have something to do with having more surface area with the potential to be contaminated with bacteria. Thus, I never buy the shredded cheese anymore.

I also have a Mac and although I changed the address, it shuts down the computer every time. :(
no cheese for me......

Used the vg to vi trick but then it said I had printed it already! Which of course I hadn't. UGH! I hate it when these tech problems cost me money.

Same thing happened to me. The vg to vi trick worked but it said I'd already printed it. Boo

Thanks for this coupon link! Kraft cheese is on sale this week at Rainbow (Roundy's) here in Minnesota, and I picked some up for the freezer. Wouldn't have thought of that if you hadn't mentioned the possibility.
