Has anyone else had problems using coupons on the items that are free? Every time I've gone to Walgreens or Target they only let me use a coupon on the one I am buying...

Can you earn register rewards each time you spends $10.00 on Quaker products? or is this limited to one per person? or one per purchase?

How do register rewards work?
Posted by: Kathy Temples | October 26, 2009 at 02:31 PM
I don't see the "Register Rewards deal running where if you spend $10 on Quaker products, you'll get a $5 Register Rewards" in my ad. Is this a regional offer? Where is it located in the ad? Since I regularly run into issues at my Walgreen's, I like to be prepared with documentation on the deal I am trying to get! Thanks!

Thank you so much for this deal. I got 12 for free with my RRs from the last couple of weeks and got back $8 RRs because I added the chapstick as a filler!! This will be awesome in my church's food distribution!

I went today (So. Cal) and did the quaker deal as stated and it did not print out any RR's. But I had a $7 RR to burn and between those and my B1G1 Magic Eraser Coupon I only paid $1.57 OOP for two boxes of Magic Erasers & 4 canisters of Quaker Oats! Not Bad!

Before I try this, has anyone gotten it to work by getting just 4 and using the BOGO coupon make 2 free? Last week I tried the deal with the Gas-X, Mylanta, and Tums but only got $5 RR rewards instead of $10 because of the Walgreen's coupons. The deal was to get $10 RR when you spend $30 on participating products. I spent $32, used a Walgreens coupon for $2 off Gas-X (x4) and the register factored the $8 of savings off my $32 total.

where do i find BOGO in-ad coupon and older redplumb inserts. do i have to buy a certain paper?

can anyone confirm that this works? My concern is that when you use the walgreen coupon, your total become $6.38 instead of $12.76. Will the $5 RR still print?

The "In-ad" coupon refers to the particular store's weekly circular found inside the stores (usually near the front entrance) or in the Sunday newspaper circulars. In this case, the "in-ad" coupon refers to this deal's store, Walgreens.

did this in austin and with only the walgreens ad coupon and got 4 boxes for $1.40. Very happy~

I have given up going to my local Walgreens (south Louisiana) because they (from the cashier to the manager) never let me use a manufacture coupon along with their store coupon! I have so much better service from CVS!

If you let them ring up all 4 Oatmeals the total will be $12.76 which will qualify for the spend $10 / get $5 RR. Then if you give them 2 in ad BOGOs the total will drop to $6.38, before using any coupons. Will the RRs still print??? Walgreen's has always been a nightmare for me so I'm hoping this deal will work the way it's supposed to!

Hey Denise - In my experience (and lots of my friends' experience) Walgreen's RRs hardly ever work like they're supposed to. Good luck!

I did the Quaker deal last night (NE Ohio). I bought 4 containers of the oats, used the B1G1 coupon from the weekly ad and the $5 RR printed. So it definitely works. :-)

I was wondering the same as Mitra. I haven't heard of anyone actually doing this yet so I'm going to wait it out because I don't *need* oatmeal, but I do need to roll RRs. :)

This worked for me, in the DFW area. I bought the four oatmeals (is oatmeals a word? ...) and used the BOGO coupon (found in the Walgreens ad- it's a store coupon) and two manufacturer's coupons. It rang through perfectly and my RRs printed! Mary - the redplum ad comes in our weekly newspaper. These coupons were found a few weeks ago.

Worked for me about 20 minutes ago!

My local Walgreen's ad does not say anything about spend 10 and get back $5RR. It does have the BOGO coupon. is this an unadvertised deal? Anyone please respond.

did not work for me in south florida!

I bought four with the in-ad coupon, but I only had one $1.25/2 coupon. Sadly, I had used my other one last week when we ran out of oatmeal!
The $5 RR deal was not advertised at the store I went to (actually NONE of the RR deals were advertised, not even the ones in my weekly ad), but since it was still a good price, I bought four anyway, and the RR ended up printing for me. Each package of oatmeal ended up costing me less than cents! Not too shabby.

Crystal,
Thank you so much for posting this! I did this deal and got 4 cans of Quick Oats and two packs of Trident for $.33 out of pocket and received $6 RR! I was pretty pleased with that!
By the way, I can never figure out Walgreens registers! At my store Oats were on sale $5/2 yet the WAGS coupon subtracted $3.62 (go figure). I am really not sure how that was calculated but no one behind the counter seems to know how the registers work. I still ended up paying about $6 with RR so I think it all worked fine.
Thanks again!
