KMart just released a coupon here which is good for $5 off of any $50 purchase of clearance products. I am guessing since it's nearing the end of Summer, they probably have quite a few items on clearance right now. Can Back-to-School sales be upon us already? I thought Summer just started! At any rate, since we're officially homeschooling now, I am certainly going to be taking more advantage of these sales as I've been amazed at how quickly we're going through supplies.

KMart: Double Coupon Freebies

It's Super Double Coupon Week at KMart again this week (July 5-11, 2009). As usual, not all stores are participating. To check and see if your store is participating, click here and type in your zip code. If the cover of your weekly ad has a bright red box with $2 doubles on it, your store is participating.

Here are the important things you need to know:

::Coupons up to $2 will be doubled. No overage will apply.
::You can only double up to 4 like coupons per transaction.
::You can only double 10 total coupons per trip.
::Internet coupons are accepted.
::Your total before coupons must be at least $25 in order for the computer to double your coupons.
::Sales tax will apply to your pre-coupon total.

Due to the new rules imposed, the way to make the most of the Double Coupon event would be to plan to make multiple smaller shopping trips each totaling just over $25 before coupons and only using 10 doubled coupons total. It will take a little bit more strategy, but the deals are so plentiful, it shouldn't be too hard to pull off.

Sears: Free $50 Reward Cash when you spend $50

Last year, Sears ran a sweet promotion where when you purchased select men's clothing, you received a gas station gift card for almost the same amount as what you spent. My husband went and did the deal twice (as the limit was two per household) and bought enough dress clothes to last him for the whole year. Plus, we got almost everything we spent back in gas gift cards. It was definitely a great deal!

I was excited to see Sears is running a somewhat similar deal this year for Father's Day. It's not quite as good as last year's offer--at least in my opinion--but it would still be an excellent deal for anyone needing to buy men's clothing.

Purchase $50 worth of men's pants or jeans from Sears by June 21, 2009, and you'll receive $50 in Sears Reward Cash. This Reward Cash can be used on any men's apparel in through the end of October.
