Rite Aid: Gift of Savings Program based on pre-coupon totals?

Kristen emailed me earlier today:

I just wanted to let you and others know that it appears the Rite Aid Gift of Savings Program total is based upon your total spent before coupons, not after coupons. So for those of us using the $5 off $25 and other coupons this is a fabulous deal!

I just got a email stating that I qualified for $20 gift card and I have spent nowhere near $100 out of pocket. What's great is that most of the money that I did spend I will be getting back in rebates! Rite Aid really seems to be giving it's customers deals recently!

We don't have a Rite Aid store here, so I'm curious to hear if this has been the case for the rest of you who have submitted your receipts to qualify for the Gift of Savings Program. Have your earnings also been based on your pre-coupon total?

Rite Aid: Free King-Sized Reese's and possible free dog food

According to The Deal Squirrel, King-Sized Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are on sale Buy One, Get One Free this week. If your area got the B1G1 coupons in Sunday's paper, you can buy two, use one B1G1 coupon, and get both free.

Some areas didn't get B1G1 coupons, but they got $0.55/1 coupons. If your area received these, you should still be able to score a great deal by buying two and using two $0.55/1 coupons.

Also, check your Rite Aid for Chef Michael's dog food mini pate packs. The Deal Squirrel found 2-pack packages of these (3 oz. each) on an endcap at her store and they were priced at $1.29 and had $1/1 coupons on the package!

She bought 16 packs at $1.29 each, used the $5/$15 coupon here and used 16 $1/1 peelie coupons, and got all of that for free after the coupons! Read more about it here.
